It was almost humorous just how easily the normally antisocial man could hold a conversation with Ren, someone who was a near perfect stranger when there were people that he had known since his attendence at Hogwarts that he did not feel comfortable speaking even the smallest of sentences to. When he had said that Ren was different, he had not just meant personality wise but also that he was different in the way that he was able to make Sebastian feel somewhat comfortable around him for one reason or another, something that was very hard for someone to be able to do for he honestly could not recall a time - other than with his brother's beloved - that he had actually felt comfortable speaking with anyone that was not related to him in some way or another.
When Ren replied to his observation, he did not miss the mischievousness that was hidden behind that small smile that he was given, almost as though being unpredictable was something that he greatly enjoyed. " I cannot say that the way that you feel is bad since I do happen to agree with you that being different is a good thing. It is a very pleasant thing to stumble across someone different and unique in a sea full of people who all wear identical masks." He did so get tired of dealing with people that perhaps even if he did not need to be so cautious, that even if he did not fear for the lives of himself, his niece, and nephew he more than likely would still be just as antisocial as he was now. He was a pureblood male from a family that held a hero's title and great honor back in his homeland, surely if the fact that he was not a pureblood wasn't enough to draw people towards him, the idea of a prestigious life of comfort for whoever it was that gained his favor would be enough incentive for people to crowd him.
Yes, he much preferred his life the way that it already was.
When the other spoke of being surprised at the fact that Sebastian actually enjoyed his company, he was rewarded with a confused look from the Hungarian. " You are welcome but why would I not enjoy your company? You are a very easy person to speak with and you are not the least bit overbearing from what I have seen so far while speaking to you. Do most not look for that in a potential conversation partner?" If they did not, then the fact was that people were even more foolish than he had previously dared to think.
It was a moment later that the two finally came across the pay phone booth that would grant them access to the offices of the British Ministry of Magic. Ren's question was answered with a small nod. " I know that it does not look like much, but I assure you that that is the entrance. Once you enter the code onto the phone pad the booth moves down and that is how you access the ministry." He listened again as Ren spoke and watched as he observed the phone booth with something akin to wonder before stating that they did not have those in Japan. " I am surprised to hear that, I had thought that these were common around the world."
