The Second Encounter [Ren]

As the two began their slow walk to Ren's home Sebastian kept his eyes directly in front of them, allowing his mind to take over and losing himself in his thoughts for a moment as he thought over his actions and his reactions towards the events that had happened just a short while ago. While he genuinely was a good man with a good heart who hated when other good people got hurt by bullies, he had never gotten that angry before. The most he would normally do was glare at the aggressors, chasing them off with that single look. Never before had he become so angry with those fools that he had to physically restrain himself from hurting a bully for teasing someone before.

This was getting stranger and stranger as time went on.

When Ren spoke up again he thanked him before stating that he was not used to having friends that were outside of his job, a job that required him to be social with others. He was told that his teammates were patient with him because of his hard work and the fact that he had saved them from being in very sticky situations in the the past, telling him that he had saved the German that he had met earlier from losing an arm to an angry dragon before managing to subdue him, something that was very impressive in his eyes.

" I must say that that was a really impressive thing for you to do and I am glad to hear that the people that understand you and who know about your problem." He fell quiet after a moment, allowing a comfortable silence to fall over the two of them while keeping his eyes on their surroundings. He could feel a pair of eyes on him and out of the corner of his eye he could see Ren staring up at him as though he was trying to figure something out. As if he was trying to figure him out, something that made him the slightest bit uneasy.

He had a lot of secrets to hide and he did not want anyone, especially not his new friend to know just what those secrets were.

Where in Morganna's mustache had he seen him before?

This was going to plague him until he figured it out. "I swear. I have seen you somewhere prior to meeting you. Your eyes are almost painstakingly familiar. Where...was it?" He was lost in that thought before a gloved hand suddenly rose and he struck his own forehead. "You went to school with Takumi. You even told me that. I must have seen you the year I was there from my own school. That is probably what I am thinking of."

It had been years ago, but Ren never forgot a face. Ever.

He was satisfied with that answer and looked over at him with a smile. "I am good with faces, not so wonderful with names. I could remember faces from my childhood in a moment's notice, but names just...slip through the cracks." Ah well, can't remember everything. His memory wasn't sharp as a tack as it used to be.

He drew in a deep breath and sighed softly. The sound was wrapped in content as if the unpleasantness of others was already shoved in the deep recesses of his mind and far from causing him pain. "Unpleasantness aside, I enjoyed the evening. The restaurant was amazing, and the company...I would not have traded it for the world." Especially not the company. Even the awkward hug was endearing, and that flustered stutter. But, the thing he found himself most touched by was the fierce way that Sebastian had protected him. He had shielded him. That...made him feel something that he hadn't in a long time.

Safe.

They walked for perhaps another fifteen minutes in a comfortable quiet before they entered the West End and moved through the theatres and music halls, the historical buildings and thespians, until they reached a dark lit townhouse between a concert hall and an old Victorian home that the townhouse had once been a part of. It looked nice, the sort of place that looked barely lived in though. There was not a lot of personalization done to it from the outside, it was just well kept up. "Well, this is my stop."

He looked at the dark lit windows and sighed softly. It was noticeable that he was in no hurry to return to someplace where no one was waiting. He didn't want the company to end, but there was no way he was going to keep Sebastian all night.

He was slightly surprised when Ren spoke up, saying that he knew he had seen Sebastian somewhere before the two of them had actually met before saying that his eyes were almost painfully familiar, something that seriously confused the Hungarian as he could not recall a time or place where he could have met Ren, before the other spoke again, telling him that Ren must have seen him at Hogwarts when he had come to visit from his own school, something that Sebastian considered very carefully before quietly agreeing with him a moment later as it was the one of the only reasons that could explain why Ren thought he looked familiar without him knowing who Ren was as well.

" Yes, perhaps that is why I must seem familiar to you and at least you are capable of remembering faces, I am horrible when it comes to remembering either one!" The only ones that he remembered from his days at Hogwarts were the people that he had taken special care to avoid interacting with in his adult life for reasons that were perhaps better left unsaid least he cause even more trouble for himself somewhere down the road.

When the Japanese man said that despite the unpleasant company that they had faced not that long ago he had managed to enjoy the evening the Hungarian flashed him a very small smile." I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the restaurant tonight along with my company. I know that I am not exactly one of the easiest people to converse with, so I am happy that you had a nice one." Hell, he wasn't the nicest company even on his best days! After about another fifteen minutes of walking in silence they managed to arrive at Ren's home, where Ren quietly announced that this was his stop.

" Very well then. I will be seeing you Ren. Stay safe and if those idiots decide to bother you again then come and find me at the ministry, I will deal with them for you. I hope to see you around some time." As he spoke, he did not notice that the clasp on his prized locket had come undone and had begun it's slow descent towards the ground, the sound of his disapparation preventing him from hearing the sound of metal hitting the ground as the locket lay there temporarily forgotten.
