Edward sighed as he finished getting everything ready for his first lesson of the year. Dark brown eyes glanced around quickly, making sure that everything was in perfect order before allowing a small pleased smile to cross his features. Everything would turn out perfectly, of that the man was absolutely sure.
His eyes glanced to the Kneazles that he would be using for his lesson. Normally the first lesson of the year would be unicorns, and their fowls, however Edward felt that he would rather be catious and observe his students, and make sure that they were ready to handle such a creature before giving them a chance to observe, and interact with such gentle, and easily startled animals.
Much to the professor's relief, the felines were not causing any trouble at all. They were all munching on the food that he had given them, some of them purring rather loudly as they ate.
A small chuckle left his throat as he felt something rub up against his leg. Glancing down, he smiled and picked up one of the ones that he had found to be particularly needy and held it in his arms, gently petting it. Another laugh left his throat as the cat cuddled up against his chest and purred loudly before seemingly falling asleep in his arms, much to the professor's great amusement.
After a few moments the professor sighed when he heard footsteps approaching him. Gently setting the sleeping cat down and taking a quick last minute count of the animals, making sure that none of them had wandered off in the small moment of his distraction. After counting, and counting again, the professor gave a sastified nod, before turning around to face the students that had gathered.
"Welcome everyone. I'm sure all of you know which class that this is, but I shall go ahead and announce it on the off chance that some of you are in the wrong place." Here he paused, and observed each and everyone of his students, a small smirk appearing when his eyes landed on the face of his younger brother.
"This is the Care of Magical Creatures class. I am professor Andrews, and I will be teaching the class for the year. Today's lesson shall be on Kneazles and how to properly befriend, and take care of them."
A small smile crossed his face as he glanced at the creatures that had made their way to the class. Some of them boldly went up to certain students, rubbing up against their legs and purring, obviously wanting to be held. Others stood by the professor, wearily watching the students who had 'intruded' on their 'territory'.
" If any of you know what Kneazles are, please give me a brief description. The first one to do so correctly, and in the most detail shall have ten points given to their house as a reward."
