Wandering and Aimless {Open}

Meggera had not been having a very good summer. Her grandfather had tried to tighten his grip to a suffocating degree over her, trying to set her up with a vampire who was about 100 years older then she was. Needless to say it sparked a monster of an argument that ended with Meggera refusing to ever speak to him or see him again, and ended with her moving in with Alex in London for the time being. Being cooped up with her older brother all summer was not her idea of fun though so she had convinced him to aparate her to Hogsmeade for the day so she could walk around and clear her head.

It was much warmer then she liked, but that was Great Britain during the summer for you. She had her leather jacket slung over her arm since it was now far to warm to be wearing it and her long black hair was braided loosely and draping over her shoulder as she wandered through the town. She had never really been this far into in, usually stopping after she hit Madam Myrna's shop, but today she didn't really have to worry about being back until well past nightfall so she wandered deeper and deeper. Down alleys, lanes, streets she had never seen before until she came to a shaded bench outside what appeared to be an exotic pet shop.

She sat down with a small sigh, leaning back against the cool wall, closing her eyes as a slight breeze blew past. It helped cool her down along with the shade. Merlin how could everything be so different so quickly?

"It appears to be in fairly good health, Mister Kross. Though, there is something...up with its temperment. Do you mind if I take it with me so that I might examine it in a closed environment and decide if it is fit to be sold? It may be the stress of other animals...this is an only slightly diluted Kneazle so, you need to have a word with your distributor."

"Oh please, Mister Winter. Feel free to take him and examine him. If there is something wrong with him, please do what must be done. Oh, I could kill Blakely for this!"

Andrei made arrangements to pick up the creature toward closing time and gathered up the remaining displacement of his medical kit and headed toward the door, stopping again as the owner guided him to the entrance of the shop.

"Oh, what about my Diricawl?"

The door swung open and the young Romanian man's dark eyes squinted against the sun before turning and speaking to the man.

"When I come back for the Kneazle, I will bring some seed blend that we have been working on developing to fight the blues. Maybe that color will fade from his feathers too. I think he may be from a charmed egg with how his feathers change as his moods do, so I will attempt to figure out a way to fix it."

The shop owner shook his hand and Andrei offered him a briht smile before turning his strong, suited frame to move away from the shop. A couple of teenaged witches caught sight of the face that had settled into maturity and was blessed with rugged stubble along a strong jaw and laughed profusely, trying to get his attention as he scribbled some notes with a quill on a small section of parchment.

Suddenly, the wind picked up and he could sense her. Dark eyes lifted and moved until he could clearly make out the visage of the overly warm vampire in the shade. Quickly, he pulled out his wand and cast a quick cooling spell upon her before moving into the shade with her.

"Meggera, are you alright? It's awful hot out for you to be sitting somewhere unprotected."

Meggeras thoughts were wandering. She was so far into her own head that the going’s of the street around her faded away, only really feeling the heat of the day around her. She could make out people walking past, just barely though. She was in serious danger of falling asleep thanks to the heat when she made out an annoying giggling noise in what felt like the distance, but at she focused it appeared to be much closer. Possibly only a shop or two away in fact. Focusing on it started to bring back her awareness of the heat though and her brow furrowed slightly, eyes still closed.

She should get up and move elsewhere, but the heat made her not want to move. So much for the shade helping out. She sighed softly possibly about to drift off to sleep when a sudden cooling sensation seemed to fall over her like a blanket. Her eyes opened slowly, had the shade only just kicked in? No that was silly. Shade didn’t ‘kick in’, it just was. She saw a figure standing there, a familiar one she realized as her eyes moved up to find his face as he spoke to her. Andrei, holding a bag, looking down at her with his wand out. Ahh, that’s probably where the cooling sensation had come from.

She slowly sat up a bit straighter, “I’m alright. The heat just makes me a bit tired is all.” she said softly with a small smile, rubbing her forehead for a moment as she slowly started to become more and more aware of her surroundings again thanks to the cooling spell. “What brings you here, Andrei?” she asked, before realizing that he had graduated so he might be here for work or something else like that. There was an odd sensation in her chest at that thought, knowing he wouldn't be back at school with her this year. It took her by surprise to say the least. So much had been happening so far she hadn't thought about not seeing him around.
