``Genevieve Slade Burke
THE SOUND OF ROLLIN' DICE TO ME
is music in the air, although I don't play fair,
IT'S MUCH MORE FUN WITH LIVES ON THE LINE

"Sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t..." Genevieve exclaimed under her breath as she ran across the floor, cloak half attached and held on by only one clasp and her hand at her throat.
She didn't care, there was no time.
She had just found out about the incident and Andrei was no where to be found, even her friends in the tower said he wasn't in the dorm. But she knew where he would be, even if it was still daylight it fit his character! Reaching the stairs she hesitated not at all but grabbed her skirt and hoisted it, throwing one leg over the banister and whipping out her wand as she began to slide. Few seeing her coming around the curve of the stairs kept their hands on the rail and she managed to vanish the only block which might have brought her slide to a sudden trip to the Hospital Wing. Falling off the end, however inelegant she did it, still gained her several seconds run as she slid across the floor before scrambling up for the doors, limbs askew.
Out the front door, a flash of a glance towards the sun near the horizon. She'd make it but it would be tricky. Knowing what she did about Andrei and his family's struggle against the werewolves he would think himself a betrayer, forced into the enemy camp by fate and he'd put himself far from the castle as soon as darkness reared it's head. As she ran the cloak streamed out behind her, forest green with a blacky interior, flailing against the wind! As she had it figured, he'd put himself as close to the woods as a student could dare and then at the last moment make a run for the deepness of the forest, strive to put himself far away. It was the night after the full and she couldn't let him go without words first, let him know her intentions.
Whether she had guessed right or he had just chosen a space to avoid others, she saw the lone figure near the edge of the clearing in the area the Care of Magic Creatures teacher used. Running straight for him she called as she got closer, knowing he had already heard her long before. "ANDREI!!!" In fact, knowing what she knew now, he might have heard her heart pounding since the caretaker's cottage. Sure of him, even if he was feeling depressed and angry right now, she ran full up to him and jumped into his arms, her hands sliding around his neck, her head on his shoulder. It took a moment before his sudden strength like a rock driving the air from her lungs enabled her to get her voice back to speak again so she held him, clamped around him so he could not shake her off if in some macho-display he tried to throw her off somehow.
When she could speak she still didn't use words, preferring to make her emotions known another way entirely. She snogged the hell out of him! First it was a desperate bid for him to hold her, then it was a driven need to convince him to stay, to not run away from her. She went after his tongue, opened her resistive heart and tried to force him to feel her whirl of desperation that he not shut her out! She had never felt such wanton fear before nor ever desired another to accept what she wanted to ram down their throat, her total acceptance of him no matter what he was, what he became! It wasn't sex it wasn't romance, it was a knowledge that knowing what little she did he would try to wall others out, fearing he would hurt them too, the ones he cared about. At least, that was her impression of him.
When she came up for air it was with an insistent voice, a tone that said don't-you-dare... "You are SO not leaving me! If the thought ever entered your mind throw it away! I don't care what you think or say about this, I am not giving you up! You have to let me in, Andrei, you have to! I'm yours, you've won! And the school is filled with morons! I don't give a flipping damn about the dance nor the fools nor the @ss who started it! I care about YOU!!!" She glared in his eyes as if daring him to try and push her away, determination in the lines in her face, the redness around her eyes, the flush in her skin of blood from her intensity. Her blood red hair fell across her shoulders, long from her ball preparation (she had wanted to let it flow like a waterfall so it was a foot and a half longer then yesterday) and smelling of fresh fallen snow to his senses.
