****DISCLIAMER***
not all of these characters are mine! they belong to their respective players I just used them because well, this needed to get out of my system. this is a fanfiction nothing more. sorry i couldn't wait for your permission danni this hat to come OUT! also it's almost 3AM so this is probably lacking a lot of quality.Madalyn let out a scream of agony. It was a terrible noise, taking place of the one word she wanted to say: No. She watched helplessly as stopped, the light leaving her eyes as Hel’s curse struck her in the chest. The woman fell to the ground. The chaos of the battle was loud, but all Maddy could hear was the loud smacking crunch as her friend’s corpse collided with the earth, and then from behind her the cruel laughter of the man she’d once trusted. She turned to Hel, tears cleaving through the grime on her face and dripping off her nose and chin. Never in her life had she hated someone so much, and she’d had many opportunities. Slowly she lifted her wand, Hel was making some cruel remark but she was deaf to his words.
“Crucio.” She whispered, the red light left her wand, smashed into the other death eater and threw him back several feet. Throughout her life Madalyn had been the definition of insanity. She’d been unstable from a young age, never to be trusted. But now, when everything she knew was falling to shit around her she was nothing but calm. She walked slowly over to her fallen friend, the blonde had fallen forward, face down in the dirt. Maddy wiped her eyes before rolling Elaine over. She was just as beautiful as she’d always been, but the color had drained from her cheeks and her eyes were like glass. She was dead, her soul departed, but still Madalyn felt for a pulse. Maybe, just maybe she was wrong. Maybe Elaine was just paralysed, playing some prank on Maddy like she used to back in school.
But Elaine was dead, her fair skin now cold and white as marble. Madalyn stared down at her, still not quite believing that all of it was real. There was no way this could be happening, Maddy needed Elaine. Elijah needed Elaine. And just like that she lost it. “No!” She sobbed, bringing her fist down into the middle of Elaine’s chest, as if the force could somehow restart her heart. The noises of the battle were drawing closer, but Madalyn didn’t notice, she had only one thing on her mind and it was not her own personal safety. She threw her wand to the side, and now using both fists, attempted to resuscitate Elaine. There was a sickening crunch as three of Elaine’s rips broke, but still Maddy continued to beat the corpse.
Suddenly there were arms around her, strong arms with strong hands, grabbing her wrists and holding her still. Madalyn fought against the tight grip, sure it was Hel recovered from the curse she’d used on him. “LET GO OF ME!” she screamed, thrashing around wildly like an ill-behaved child. She was still crying, the mixture of sobbing and screaming had turned her voice hoarse and her throat raw, but she still continued.
“Mads, hush, it’s okay now.” She recognized that voice, and it did not belong to the man who’d murdered the only woman she’d ever loved.
“Osiris?” she gasped. Her volume had fallen but her voice still quivered.
“It’s all going to be alright now Mads, I’m here now.” His voice was soft and soothing, like a lullaby. His embraced changed from constricting to comforting and Maddy had nothing left to do but cry. The sobs shook her whole body. Osiris's grip loosened, allowing her to turn and bury her face in his chest. He stroked her hair, whispering sweet things that she couldn't hear over her own sobs. It was nice, for a moment, and then she remerbered. She remembered Lindsey, and all the other girls Osiris said he'd loved. The ones he'd set Madalyn aside for time and time again, and her gladness for his arrival was replaced with blind rage and fear of betrayal. She reached for her wand, but it was still laying on the ground somewhere next to Elaine's corpse. Her fingers closed around something cold and sharp.
"Osiris," she whispered, raising her tear stained face for she could look him in the eyes. "You're wrong." He tried to protest but she silenced him with a kiss, it was not their first kiss but it would be their last. She broke the kiss, looking into his green eyes and attempting to stifle another sob. "Nothing's going to be okay anymore." with that last statement she pulled the dagger from beneath her robes and forced it up underneath Osiris's ribcage. He gasped in pain, his eyes widening. Madalyn withdrew the knife, stabbed in a second time, and took a step back, allowing him to fall onto his knees and then onto his side, his mouth opening and closing like that of a fish. She knelt down beside him, rolling him onto his back and shushing him as he tried to speak. "With any luck I'll have punctured our heart," She said softly, brushing his dark hair out of his face "You'll bleed out quicker that way, but even so, I'll stay with you till the end." she smiled and cupped his cheek "Till the very end, my sweet prince."
