He put the suite separate from the rest of the clothes on the rack before picking up the box and looking through it, while commenting on the room. “Its hard to believe really....I mean, I thought my grandfather was bad, but this? I wouldn't have been able to keep up appearances for so long.” she said, shaking her head in disbelief. It was the sort of thing she wouldn't have believed had she not seen it, which was most likely why he waited to tell her about it. She wouldn't have believed him without seeing it. She sincerely felt bad for him, having to grow up like this. She couldn't imagine living like this and having to hide it from everyone.
She looked over as he sat down on the other side of the book and apologized once again about the situation they were in and the speediness of everything as well. She shook her head, looking down at her hands in her lap for a moment, “It's not your fault. How could I blame you after see all this? You were just trying to make things better for you and your mother...” she said, shaking her head again. If anything she blamed both their grandfathers for putting them in this situation. It was a direct result of both of their actions and plans that led to this after all.
Granted things could be worse...for both of them really. He could have slipped up in his masquerade which might have caused trouble for his families business. And she might have ended up stuck with some guy at least twice her age and stuck in a very small cage. At least they were the same age, and now he didn't really have to pretend since his secret wasn't in danger of getting out thanks to her grandfathers allowance and offer to fix up the house. And she was going to be able to do what she wanted. She could become a healer. Granted she still wasn't entirely pleased, but she knew she was lucky.
