The return to school had seemed almost anti-climactic for Keela. She'd come back with a ring on each hand, both of which had raised several eyebrows since her return. She couldn't tell anyone much about the snake ring other than that it was a family thing she'd been given when he proposed. Most went so far as to assume it was some sort of weird tradition, but no further than that. The ring on her left hand, however, was conspicuous enough to draw attention. She had briefly considered turning her around after the fifth person had stopped her to gawk at it. She was on a mission today. She had plans to meet Anne, one of Vin's younger sisters, for lunch at The Three Broomsticks. She and Vin had plans to meet later, and while Keela was definitely excited by the prospect, she was also looking forward to a girl's day. Of all of his siblings (Zahara excluded), Keela had been the most comfortable with Anne. Though her status as Vin's fiance meant she was now under his family's protection, she needed a personal ally other than his mother in her quest to find her place in his family.
So she'd trudged through the snow, dressed simply because of the weather, Keela was able to keep a fairly brisk pace, and most everyone took the hint. The rush of warmth as she entered was welcome indeed, and she smiled. A quick scan of the room revealed that Anne wasn't there yet. The younger girl was decidedly hard to miss in a crowd. Keela settled into a booth near the middle of the room, and scooted to the end so she could watch the other students passing by. Odd to think she didn't have many Hogsmeade trips left, except for the ones she'd make next year to see Vin of course, but those would be different. She wouldn't be a student anymore. A waitress Keela hadn't seen before seemed to materialize out of nowhere to take her order. She ordered the biggest mug of cocoa available, and settled in to wait. When it arrived, she nodded her thanks, explained she was waiting on someone, and then turned to glance wistfully out the window.
