Why was it that whenever Xayden had begun to feel peaceful, as if all was finally going right for him that everything began to fall to pieces. He was supposed to go to a certain part of the orchard for a date with his Aito and spend the day there with him. It was supposed to have been a fun, and carefree day unfortunately fate decided that today was going to go different than had originally been planned. It had started with Xayden's walk to the orchard from the house, he had felt a pair of eyes on his back, watching him as he made his way there, and while that had unnerved him, he had been quick to forget about it.

The second thing that had happened however, he could not forget about. Running out from behind a tree, and almost running into him was none other than the person that he had thought he would never see again. Pale skin, soft wavy blond hair, and a pair of playful blue eyes stared up at him as they ran past, beckoning, calling him to abandon his plans and follow after him. The confused Burman stood there, frozen with wide blue eyes as the Fin ran further and further away from him, before with his plans forgotten, he chased after the Fin.

He had so many questions, and the only person that could answer them was getting farther and farther away from him.

"Matthias!!! Mattie!!!!" The name was called out over and over again as he chased after him, despite this the Fin showed no signs in stopping, and after a while of running, slipped into an area of the orchard that was completely secluded, Xayden ran after him, not noticing just how secluded he was until he was slammed into the wall of the alleyway a pair of half lidded blue eyes staring up at him.

"Hello Xayden." His name was purred out, half lidded eyes staring up at him and his lips pulled into a dark smirk. Hands trailed up his body slowly, and Xayden couldn't help but shudder in horror as he felt the very tip of a wand being pressed against his throat.

"It took me such a long time to find you. But now that I have, I can finish what I started at the beginning of the last break. Any last words, Love?"[/i]

Xayden's eyes fell closed, and he shuddered his eyes falling closed. Would Matthias truly get away with killing him this time? It appeared so.

The day had started out so well, and it felt like it couldn't get any better! His training had gone so well, and now he was to have a date within the orchards with Xayden. Any time spent with Xayden simply put him on top of the world. He was waiting in the orchard where he said he'd meet his love and when he didn't show, he felt pangs of worry working their way into his stomach. Black eyes scoured the horizion for a moment when a large white crane swooped upward from a corner of the orchard. It moved near him and looked at him with a hazed look in its eye. "Get. Takumi." He said in a low voice before running full tilt through the orchard, between the trees, toward where the crane had come from.

He knew the grounds like the back of his hand and the ease with which he moved added to the speed with which he blasted through the woods. His hand gripped his wand from the Japanese school and as he fell to a slowing pace, he stared at the sight of his beautiful angel with the dangerous end of his wand at his throat.

How did he find the grounds?

Nevermind that.

Dark eyes flashed from worry to pure fury. Not once, but twice had he seen the things that he'd done to Xayden. He'd almost lost him once because of this blonde bastard! Moving with the strength of a tiger and the silence of a shadow, he felt his jaw tightening. The clouds started to darken and thicken overhead and the wind whipped with a slowly building storm front. A threatening rumble of thunder echoed across the expanse of the sky as thick black wisps of smoke poured off of the skin of the Satoshi male.

He breathed out a low, threatening hiss and lightning flashed dangerously across the sky. If Takumi didn't get the message, he'd certainly alerted the bloody house now. The grounds and the atmosphere reacted to extreme emotional fluxuations of the closest male Satoshi...a protective charm on all of the trees that his great grandfather set up to protect the land from invasion.

He was moving again, running, pure anger taking over his entire bloodstream with the underlying panic of harm befalling his Xayden. Aito promised to protect him, and right now, he fully intended to prove that he would. He brought his wand up with a snap and pointed it straight at the back of the Fin and growled, the black of his eyes taking over the entire expanse of his eyes as he hissed, "GET OFF HIM." The Fin was likely expecting a magical attack, so the swift punch from the non-wand hand that connected with the Fin's shoulder was likely a shock. "You are not welcome here." The lightning flashed wildly as his adrenaline pumped through him. His wand pointed at him with the sort of posture that could only be learned from a duelest took over his stance.

"Get out or fight me!" The normally calm, sweet, loving boy was bristling, menacing, and appeared deadly in his protectiveness. The wind was picking up as his eyes darkened further, his teeth baring angrily in the lightning.

This bullshit...was ending right here.

Because he had been facing the fin afraid to take his eyes off of him for even a moment because of what he knew that the other would do he had not seen Aito come running towards the two of them. He had not seen the worry in his eyes turn into pure fury. The only thing that he seemed to notice was when the sky turned dark and lightning crashed dangerously in the sk, something that was also noticed by the young man that was holding the Burman captive. The wand was lowered slightly, now resting against his collarbone as Matthias looked up at the sky with a morbid curiosity.

"Mitä helkkaria? Myrsky tämän kausi" [what the hell? A storm in this season?] The words were uttered in quiet finnish and for a moment Xayden believed that he could escape and slowly his hand moved down to the pocket in which his wand lay, only to flinch slightly when he felt the wand move back to his throat in a threatening gesture.

"älä edes ajattele sitä Xayden." [Don't even think about it Xayden] A small, and sweet smile. "Try something like that again, and by the time I am done with you, your new boy toy won't even be able to recognize your corpse when I'm d-" He had been about to say more when the sudden appearence of Aito had stunned him into silence when he felt the tip of a wand pressing into his back.

Two pairs of blue eyes, one set amused at the new arrival, and another set filled with a mixture of horror, and relief. Aito had punched Matthias's shoulder, something that had knocked him off balance slightly, though he managed to keep his wand pointed at Xayden's throat for some reason. His eyes seemed even more amused when he screamed at Matthias to get off of him.

" Aito you need to g-"

"Ole hiljaa. Xayden" [Shut up] His eyes never left Aito's. "You do not scare me boy. You are nothing more than a little pest, someone that Xayden just used for a quick shag. He'll soon leave you just as he has done to me and all of the others that he slept with. I'm doing you a favor by ridding the world of this one." Cold, calculating laughter filled the air as eyes narrowed. "Don't you see boy? I will always have a grip on Xayden. I will always have a piece of his mind, body, heart and soul. He is mine, to do with as I please. Even if you think that you love him, he will never return that love."

"Aito that's not true! You know that I love yo-"

"I said ole hiljaa!" There was the loud sound of flesh hitting flesh, and Xayden's head snapped to the side, his cheek red and stinging from the slap he had just recieved.

"Do not stand in my way Aito Thresh. You will regret messing with me if you do."

His jaw clenched again and the wind picked up its fury as he found a sneer coming across his features. "Do you really think you can get into my head? You're funny...Matthias. But, I will give you one last warning, do not underestimate me and the things I can do." Fear was not something he could feel in an angered haze and not often did his emotions mix when felt at this strength.

However, when he could hear and see the slap against Xayden's cheek, the very earth shuddered with the clap of thunder that rolled through the sky. "Protego Maximus!" He cast upon Xayden first before his attention moved back to the Fin. "Expelliarmus. Mordaxis." He hissed, his wand snapping at Matthias. "Stupefy. Sectumseptra." Threatening the one he loved this much and going so far as to strike him? He wouldn't stand for it.

A rumble of thunder covered up the sound of a Japanese spell that stregnthed the protection spell around Xayden as a matter of fact, he was even protected from the centuries old weather charm. Most spells would simply absorb into the magical barrier that covered him. He was getting his chance to prove that he wouldn't let Xayden get hurt, at least not without a fight. The Fin had the advantage of an extra year of schooling and a general lack of concern of what happened to whom he was dueling. However, Aito had two shining and glaring advantages. One, was that the fact that the Japanese wizarding laws differed from London, and he could case whatever spell necessary to defend someone (and it must be for defending someone, not harming someone just for making one angry). Thank you historical samurai laws. And the second was that, even if what the Fin had said was true, and he knew it wasn't, he loved Xayden so deeply and so purely that he knew even the killing curse wouldn't harm Xayden. No, he would rather to his damndest to protect him, even if it meant enduring a curse.

He could sense Takumi on the move, coming through the grounds appirating every 120 feet in his lack of knowing where the younger men were. At this point, he didn't care how much danger he was in as long as Takumi showed up quickly. He moved again, moving until he was between the Fin and the Burman, shielding him with his own body. Despite Xay begging him to move, he would not. Despite Matthias' threats and demands to move he would not. It was as much an act of honor as it was an act of love. "I love you." He said back to Xayden. "And I always will."

He was his angel...and he'd rather die than see him hurt again.

"Do not underestimate me and the things that I can do." The words were repeated in a mocking tone, and there was a sneer present on his handsome face. "You truly are foolish. I am a year ahead of you, and as you can see on what I've done time and time again to Xayden, I am dangerous. Yet you still choose to get in my way? So be it. Two people will die tonight then."

Xayden's face lost it's color at hearing Matthias's decleration. He knew what Matthias was capable of, he had been the victim of his wrath many a time, the very thought of what he might do to Aito was enough to make him feel as though he was about to have a heart attack. Oh merlin no. He couldn't let Aito do this. He'd never forgive himself if Matthias hurt him. He would never forgive himself if something happened to him. He couldn't bear the thought that Matthias might very well kill him. Kill them both.

"Aito forget about me and save yourself!! He'll try to kill you if you get in the way!" He was ignored as Aito grew even angrier when he had been hit by Matthias. A protection spell was casted on his body so that Matthias could no longer touch him, and then the spells went flying. He watched as Matthias deflected the spells, one after the other with spells of his own.

"You think you can beat me with spells like that? Surely you're kidding me." He was surprised when Aito had cast Sectumseptra, as that was on the darker side of magic, but he was still not shaken. "Diffindo, Serpensortia" The severing charm, and a charm that summoned a large serpant to erupt from the center of his wand, the serpant slithering towards Aito with an evil look in it's eyes."Avis Oppungo!"A small army of birds erupted from the center of his wand before flying towards Aito, ready to attack him.

Such meager spells were diflected, save the snake, which recieced another dark severing charm. The birds took some concentration and the wind shifted violently to blow against the birds' flight and catchel their feeble, weightless bodies in the torrent. He had years of manipulating the weather charms on his own property under his belt, as it took no real magical skill to do so. Save his own trick he'd learned from Ren. The amount of scorn building up in him was nearing a critical mass and as the lightning began to cut across the sky, the electricity began to follow the arc patterns of his wand as he seemed to be building up a spell, but the crashing thunder made it impossible to hear the quickly spoken words. Bolt after bolt was sparking on the impact on the ground and the trees nearby, sending a vibrating hum through the ground. They were directed close to the Fin, but that powerful protection magic ensured that Xay was not touched by any blast near him. It simply bounced off of the magical barrier.

He was still casting when he started advancing on the Fin, his wand pointed dead at his chest, "Incendio!" The lightning followed his every move, the weather was connected to him solely and the ferocity of his emotions, the sheer strength of his anger. The only way to change that would have been to cause him a great deal of physical pain, and even then...he knew Takumi was coming. "Mordaxis! Locomotor Mortis!"

The wind screamed, yet no rain fell amidst the rest of the tempest. The trees were whispering to each other. It was a matter of time before something would happen.

It seemed as though the Satoshi male was relentless with his protection of Xayden, something that was both amusing and appaling to the Fin as they fought. Why would he risk his life to save the poor excuse for a man? Why would any of them do so? He could vaguely recall fighting off both Xayden's brother, and another boy that Xayden had seen in the past. What was it that made Xayden so worthy in their eyes, what was it that made others willing to give their lives for him? He just could not see it, and in that moment his eyes fell off of his enemy to glance at Xayden, and it was at that moment that he heard the lightning rumble and quickly jumped out of the way as the lightning moved down, hitting the spot he had been only moments before.

What a dirty little cheat.

Xayden watched with weary blue eyes as they dueled. His heart was beating so fast, so rapidly that he felt as though he might have a heart attack at any moment. There was something completely unnerving about watching both his ex and his future husband fighting each other. Lightning came down from the heavens in an angry roar, crashing down on the earth next to Matthias as if it was trying to punish him for everything that he had done in the past. Aito was relentless in his spell casting, using various spells and hexes while trying to catch him off guard.

His eyes widened as Matthias' robes began to catch fire due to a well casted incendio. He watched as dark blue eyes widened, before quickly casting Exstinctum and putting out the flames. Those eyes then looked back up at Aito, his face set in a cruel snarl. This time he would be out for blood. A wand was raised, pointed at a tree that was right next to where Aito stood.

"Expulso." A loud and deafining explosion was heard as the tree exploded right next to the boy, a smirk present on Matthias' face as he kept on with the spells.

"Dissendium. Confundo. Stupefy. Incarcerous.

A sound like a wrenching inhale almost echoed through the grounds. The tree had shattered and a splintered end of wood was penetrating his right shoulder. But, he continued to move, casting a violent storm of spells back at the Fin. The severing spell had hit him in the chest, and the blood that fell to the ground caused the lighting to plummet down and surround him, almost like a cage. He was livid. And as the pain started to course through him, his eyes locked on the Fin. "Silencio! Incarcio! Sectumsempra! Electrarum!" That last spell was one he was hanging on to from his family's archives. The lightning around him burst out in a grid of high voltage.

That spell was sucking the life out of him, but he didn't care. He held it as strong as he was able before...

He sank to his knees and the spell stopped after delivering a series of jolts. That tree limb was coated in fresh, pouring blood. Ragged gasps heaved his chest, and he looked up again. Not to the Fin, but to his angel. He was failing him.

"E...expulsio!" The trees began to explode around the Fin, jagged edges flying and promptly falling. The pain was too much.

A voice came from the back of the Fin, the tip of a wand in his back. "Digitis Reptum. Incarcio." Takumi slunk like a shadow from the smouldering trees, a cold stare etched into his features.

Time seemed to pass in slow motion as he saw his lover both got struck in his chest with the severing spell, and got impaled in his shoulder by a fallen tree branch. His eyes were drawn to the shoulder in particular, and memories seemed to hit him all at once, reminding him that at one point he had gotten the exact same injury caused by the very same person that Aito was fighting at the moment.

Would that wound turn out just the same as his had? Would it hurt Aito just as much as it had hurt him? He bit down on his lip as he saw the drops of crimson that fell from his beautiful body fall from the jagged branch onto the ground and staining it with that horrid red.

No. This wasn't happening. This had to be a nightmare of some sort. He would wake up any moment now and see Aito lying right next to him, completely uninjured. He did not just stand there helpless as Matthias hurt his future husband, protected and unable to interfere in any possible way. Yet as he saw the pain on Aito's face, and heard the enraged screams of pain that came from Matthias as he was struck in the stomach and shoulder with the dark severing charm, and as he was shocked by the electricity that Aito had attacked him with, he knew that this was all real.

Aito was seriously hurt, and there was absolutely nothing that he could do about it. He had been protected by his angel, but he could not protect him in return, and now he had failed his sweet loving angel because of it. His heart and chest began to ache horribly and tears sprang into his beautiful blue eyes. He wanted nothing more than to run over to him, and hold his injured angel in his arms, to protect him from the ex that he was starting to hate more and more each and every passing moment.

When his lover looked up at him, he held such a heartbreaking expression on his face. He looked at him as though he believed that he had failed him, and with one last spell he fell to the ground, passed out from the pain. This caused the spell that was protecting Xayden to fail, and allowed him to run over to Aito and gently pick him up, holding him in his arms. Small and gentle kisses were pressed to his face, and the tears that he had been holding in now fell freely. "Love I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that I let him hurt you."

He heard footsteps walking towards them and immediately his wand was drawn out. "Don't come any closer Matthias." His words were met with a dark chuckle, and his eyes left Aito's face to glance up for a moment, flinching when he saw Matthias' dark blue gaze. Blood seemed to fall from his skin in thin ribbons, and there was a small trail of blood that followed behind him. Xayden had no idea how the other could still be standing, but he wasn't about to let him hurt Aito any more.

"You can't even protect yourself. What makes you think that you can save him from me?" Xayden didn't flinch, nor did his wand waver, something that made Matthias frown. His wand was raised and pointed at the two lovers about to cast a spell that might have potentionally killed the both of them when two spells were cast out of seemingly nowehere, distracting the Fin as he made to protect himself.

Xayden's eyes fell over to the side, his body feeling relief when he noticed that it was none other than Aito's uncle that had arrived there. They would be safe for now. He held Aito close, and sighed slightly in relief. However, there was one person that was not happy to see him, and that was the fin, who knew that he now had a much more chellenging person to fight.

"Loquax. Stupefy. Flatus. Impedimenta!

Takumi easily deflected the spells cast at him. He had 20 years of experience on the young Fin and dueling experience during a time of War. There wasn't much he hadn't seen, but more than that, there wasn't much he wouldn't do to protect his family. However...unforgivable curses, that was a last resort. If he must and only if he must. His dark eyes glimpsed over at his nephew and his fiancée and those eyes turned to darkened pits. He could Denver the others coming, Sayuri, Ren, even Chiyo, his mother was moving through the grounds. Two ministry employees and a dragon tamer. But, he could handle one person on his own.

The weather charms still held to Aito's emotions, and rain began to fall, pelting the ground in a gentle stream. The touch of Xayden's kisses made his heart surge, but the pain...Oh, Merlin, the pain. Despite his eyes trying to open, he only found his lungs filling, and a low cry of agony leaving his lips. Bloody branch, bloody cuts, bloody HELL! "...Aahhh! It hurts!!" His body trembled and his eyes started to open, only to find a full rush of sheer and total pain claiming him. His eyes widened and he shrieked, every move making the wound worsen. His fingers curled tightly into Xayden's shirt and he found his breath heaving, trying to fight back the next agony filled shriek that was building up. "Stay....please...love..." He was gasping through the waves of unbearable pain, pleading for him to stay.

"Obscuro! Petrifus Totalus! Langlock! Reverted Statum! Defodio!" Takumi had no end of spells flying swiftly from his wand and he was advancing dangerously upon the Fin, snarling darkly. If he could get close, he swore he would just sock the little son of a bitch.

"Takumi!! Use the light spell!!" Sayuri was moving through the trees, toward her son and Xayden. Ren was behind her and moving toward his twin like death's own shadow. "Fuck that! He's on the list to Azkaban. Do some damage! The Aurors are coming!" The identical twins were fierce in their dueling, together...they conjured a giant black dragon that formed from the smoke and bribing cherry blossom trees. Ren controlled the beast, unblinking as it thundered to the Fin. "Good night." The dragon snatched him up and held him in a stony grip, growling loudly.

Chiyo hurried over to the boys, sending up sparks with her wand, signalling the Appirating Aurors to their location and Cian was leading them back. They could hear them advancing...

All but Sayuri, who was attempting to heal her son. "It'll be okay, baby...shhh.... stop moving, love you'll make it worse..."

"Mm....Aaaahhhhh!!" Aito shrieked again, a thin layer of sweat breaking out over his brow.

Sayuri cast a deep sleeping spell onto her son and looked up at Xayden. "Can you appirate? Take him to St. Mungo's...please...we will follow when we can. He should stay asleep and still!"

The Brit came with the Aurors and first saw the dragon with the Fin, before he saw his son. All color drained from his face and he couldn't speak as he looked at the boy. But, it was as if the life was being sucked out of him. Sayuri was explaining to him what was happening before Cian still seemed to be shaking.

The Fin was lucky the Aurors were here. Because he would have sent himself to Azkaban for this.

It was the very second that the two teens saw both the types of spells that were coming out of his wand along with how fast that he was casting them that both Matthias, and Xayden knew that the young fin would not win this duel. He had gone from attacking to frantically defending himself, and on top of that the wounds that he had recieved from Aito were slowing him down. Aito had done more damage to him than all three of the males had known. Xayden's eyes followed each and every single one of their movements, his brows furrowing before his attention was drawn to Aito.

Rain had started falling down from the sky in a gentle stream, and he could hear his Aito groaning from the pain that the wounds were causing him. He could see his eyes trying to open, and it was all Xayden could do to hold him close to his body, shielding him from both the rain and the cruel eyes of the Fin who wanted to see the other writhing in the ground from the pain that he knew he had caused him. He could hear Aito's pain filled cry, saying how bad it hurt him and Xayden felt his heart break even more.

"I know that it hurts love, but you can't move. It'll hurt you even more if you do." His words were ignored as Aito's body began to tremble, and his eyes finally opened along with his mouth as a loud pain-filled shriek filled the air. Xayden closed his eyes, the tears falling down his cheeks as he held his lover close to his body, trying to stop him from thrashing around in pain. Fingers curled into his shirt, and he was begged not to leave, to stay by his side. "Always love." Aito was given a sad, shaky smile. He would stay by his side no matter what.

It was after that that all hell broke loose. The other wizards had come running into the clearing where they were all at. Aito's mother screamed something about using a light spell, while his uncle said to cause some damage, the aurors were coming soon anyway. That had been enough to snap Xayden back to reality watching as the twin wizards managed to trap the person he had once loved before turning his attention to Aito's mother just as she had casted a sleeping spell on Aito to keep him still and out of pain. She asked him if he could apperate which he gave a quick nod to, and it was then that she asked him to take Aito to St.Mungos, something that he had responded with a quick "Of course." before standing and carrying Aito in his arms as if he was his bride.

A loud crack filled the air, and both teens were rushing through space, Xayden keeping a tight grip on Aito so they would not be seperated during the journey. It took a long while, but eventually they arrived at the entrance of the hospital, where Xayden ran to a receptionist, demanding that they help Aito immediately. When Healers, and the mediwitches, and wizards came running over to them, taking his lover from his arms, he immediately ran after them, waiting out in the hall with a heavy heart while they went to work on healing Aito. " Merlin please let him be okay..."

[Aito Satoshi]

"Merlin's beard, its really stuck in there." "Don't! Don't just pull it. We need to be careful about this. He's already losing a lot of blood." "Pull out while healing?" "Or close to it. We can't argue. We just need to get it out. He really needs to be awake..." "Are you sure?" "If something happens, he needs to be awake! Take the spell off!"

There was a sudden piercing shriek from the room and the sound of a violent thrashing followed by a mediwitch, "Aito! Calm down! Calm...should we sedate him?" "Binding him does no good, he's strong as a bloody ox!" "Quick! Push the limb!"

The sound was akin to no other, the shriek turned into something worse. A shattering shout, then abrupt silence. "Heal him! Quickly! He's dropping out." The pulse monitor plummeted, and for a moment simply flat lined. The air went still for barely 30 seconds until it blipped back into life. "Mer...lin..." "He's starting to stabilize." "Oh, thank Merlin."

The media witch was covered in blood when she looked out the room, leaving the doctor to bandage the worst of the wounds that magic wouldn't touch. "You brought him in?" Once Xayden answered, she said, "He'll be okay. Whatever tree punctured him is not allowing our magic to heal him completely, so we are going to have to figure out some way to fix it. He is still out, but once the doctor leaves, you're welcome to come in."

It was an hour before the doctor left, holding in a gloved hand, the thick branch that had skewered his shoulder. That branch was a thick one, and it looked sharper once the whole thing was seen. He was shaking his head, confused about using Muggle stitches to close the hole until they new how to close it magically so it would let them. Finally, it was just the slow, rhythmic pulse of his heart beat on the monitor.

There was something that was almost bitterly humorus about this entire situation. It was not that long ago that their situations had been reversed and Xayden had been the one in that room, suffering the full amount from the pain that had been inflicted on him because the medistaff had been so sure that if they had put him to sleep, he would not have waken again. Yet as Xayden heard the pain filled cries, heard the screams and felt his heart feel like it wanted to stop just so that he wouldn't have to hear those cries anymore, he wondered if Aito had felt the same way back when he had been the one standing in the hall. The shriek turned into a shout before falling quiet, and he heard the panicked shouts of the staff before he heard the pulse monitor flat line.

For a moment, he had lost Aito. He had lost his angel to the demon known as Matthias. Fresh pain exploded throughout his body, and he felt as though he didn't want to breathe anymore. Those thirty seconds in which Aito's heart had stopped beating had easily been the most agonizing, the most painful seconds in his entire life and the very second that he heard the monitor bleep back to life, tears of relief formed before faling down his face.

He didn't know how it had happened, but at that moment he had never been more thankful. He would not have been able to live for very long without his angel, that much he was more than sure of. He loved him more than life itself and had he left this world, it would not have been long before Xayden would have followed him into the dark and cold embrace of death to join him in the afterlife. A world without Aito was not a world worth living in to him. Without him there would no longer be any point, any meaning to life.

When the mediwitch came out of the room covered in his angel's blood, it took nearly all of Xayden's self-control to prevent him from being sick right then and there. When she asked him if he had been the one to bring him in, it took Xayden a moment before he was able to answer her with a short affirmation. He felt relieved when she told him that he would be okay, though the tree branch was making it hard to heal him and though he would still be unconcious for a while to come, he was welcome to go in and see him once the doctor left the room.

It seemed like it had been an enternity before the doctor had left the room, carrying the branch that had pierced Aito's shoulder in his hand. Once Xayden had seen the entire branch, he realized that it was a lucky thing that Matthias had been taken to Azkaban, for at that moment he wanted absolutely nothing more than to go and hunt down the Fin, to cause him just as much pain as he had caused his angel if not more. Closing his eyes and trying to quell the rage and hatred that had began to form in his achy heart, he made his way into the room, and over to Aito's side, saddened blue eyes glancing down at him with such a heartbreaking look of sadness and regret.

"I'm so sorry that you got hurt because of me Aito. I'm so sorry that he hurt you, that I couldn't protect you from him. This is all my fault. All of it." The words were spoken in such a quiet whisper, in a defeated and heartbroken tone that almost no one had heard the Burman use before."I don't deserve someone like you Aito. I never did. I can never make this up to you, but I will try. I know that you might not be able to hear me love, but if you can please stay asleep for now. You need time to rest and heal. Don't worry, I promise that I'll stay by your side until you can wake up." His head lowered and pressed a gentle kiss to Aito's cheek. " I love you my angel, and no matter what happens, I always will. Always."

Hours passed as he slept there, his family arrived and made their passes through the room and passed their support not only to their blood, but to Xayden as well. Cian was the last to arrive and he looked down at the bruised and weakened body and sighed shakily. "We got him, you hear me, Qi? He's not going to hurt either of you again." He took a hold of his cold hand and he smiled quietly at the sleeping boy and to the Burman still at his side. "You both are safe. Sayuri has people monitoring him until his trial. He won't be getting out."

With a smile to the Burman, he cleared his throat and moved out of the room to join his wife and brothers in the hall. Even Xayden's father arrived to ensure his own son's saftey. Still, the boy slept.

Finally, the eyelids fluttered open and a low groan followed, followed by a stream of explicitives. His eyes focused slowly though the pain made his chest tighten violently. "Mmm...ow..." He rasped, looking over and his eyes fell on Xayden. "Are...are you okay?" He found the hand near him reaching shakily toward him.

Hours and hours seemed to pass on by as the boy just lay in the bed unconscious. Xayden sat at the chair by his bedside, not once moving from his spot by his lover's side, his worried blue eyes only leaving his form when he was addressed by whoever was in the room in order to answer a question, or give them a weak smile and a small expression of gratitude when they offered him their support as well. When Aito's father came into the room he listened to him as he spoke to him. They had gotten Matthias, and he was being carefully guarded until his trial was to take place, and his sentence given. Then he would be shipped off to Azkaban.

"Thank you sir." He spoke his gratitude to the older man, before his eyes fell to the ground. " And I'm sorry that I wasn't able to properly protect your son from him. I promise that as long as I live, Aito will never get hurt again." This incident had provided him with the motivation that he needed in order to make his final career decision. He would accept the invitation that he was given and would choose to undergo Auror training immediately after Aito was fully healed.

While Aito was in school, he would undergo the training in London, and while he was out of school, he would go and continue his training during the breaks supervised underneath the aurors in his own family while on break in Japan. When Aito graduated from school, he would move his training permanently to where ever it was that they would be living, and become an auror for the Ministry there. It would all work out just fine.

When his father came into the room to ensure his safety, and well being he expressed his condolences for what had happened to Aito before ensuring Xayden that Matthias would never bother them again. They had more than enough evidence to reward him with a life sentence, and that was what they were aiming to get. When Xayden expressed interest in wanting to become an auror along with sharing his plan with his father, who looked almost excited to hear that one of his sons wanted to follow in his footsteps.

He was promised that the necessary arrangements would be made before his father hurried out of the room leaving them alone again. It was then that he was left to his thoughts, only snapping out of them when Aito began to regain consciousness. A small pained groan left his lips, followed by a stream of explicitives that normally would have rendered the Burman speechless though at this point he was more focused on the beautiful darkness of his eyes as they finally opened. "Shh...my angel. I'm fine, Mattie didn't lay a finger on me. Not a single one." He paused to gently grasp Aito's hand, taking it into his own, his thumb gently brushing against the soft skin that was there. "You've got to try and stay still love. That tree branch wouldn't let them fully heal you with magic. They had to use muggle stitches to close up the wound until they can find out how to properly heal you. If you move too much you can tear them." His hand continued to gently rub the skin on the back of his hand. "Do you need anything love? Is there anything that I can get you?"
