Antia was bored. It was a rather frequent occurrence that had gotten her into trouble quite frequently when she was still in school. Not quite as much now…but then again she was a much faster runner these days. She flicked the edge of a piece of parchment that was sitting on the table in front of her, staring out the window of her office in an absent minded fashion. She was supposed to be waiting for the editor of Witch Weekly to contact her via fireplace, but the woman was taking far too long. She let out a heavy sigh, resting her chin on the edge of the desk, her vibrant red locks falling into her eyes. She blew them out of her face with yet another sigh and a glance at the clock. 10 past 10… She had been waiting since 9:45 for this woman and couldn’t bear to sit still any longer.
So with an aggravated huff she got to her feet, grabbed her broom and slung her camera around her neck and practically ran out of her office and down the stairs to the castles front doors. As soon as the sun of the day hit her skin her face broke out into a smile and she breathed in the new spring air. It was marvelous to have the cold weather mostly gone. Without bothering to wait, she mounted her broom in the middle of the courtyard and took off flying, zipping around unsuspecting student out to the grounds. She flew up and up and up, higher than most students would dare to go outside the quidditch pitch before finally stopping. She paused at that height to snap a few pictures of the grounds with her camera before zipping off again over the tops of the trees to the quidditch pitch.
She laughed into the wind as she flew fast, loving the feeling of the wind and the sheer freedom one felt on a broomstick, before arriving at the quidditch pitch and instantly started flying circles in and out of the goal posts for the fun of the sharp turns she was making. She laughed out loud as she made almost dizzying circles around and through the goal posts, completely oblivious to the world around her for the time being. All that seemed to matter was the wind, the sun, and her broom.
