The Talk [Aito]

It was a warm spring afternoon, a day that was filled with laughter and happiness as students enjoyed their time outdoors with one another. Xayden watched from a distance, sitting on a stone bench that lay far away from all others, far out of the hearing range of any potential eavesdroppers. His face was calm, not betraying the sheer nervousness that he felt on the inside as he awaited the arrival of his younger lover. A lot had happened in these past few weeks and it was time for the two to have a conversation that they should have had at the very beginning of their relationship. They needed to talk about someone who had been causing the both of them nothing but trouble.

They needed to talk about Matthias.

It was a sore topic that Xayden chose more often then not to avoid all together whenever he had the chance to and yet as he saw what had happened to Aito, as he saw the hurt and the pain that was caused to him by the belief that Xayden still carried emotions in his heart for the Fin, he knew that he had made a mistake, and that it was time they had the conversation. So he had taken the time to write his beloved a note, telling him that they needed to talk and asking him to meet him where he was currently sitting with his hands folded neatly in his lap as his eyes glanced at the ground.

His thoughts were racing, trying to think about just where it was that he would start, just what it was that he needed to say. There were so many things that needed to be told, there were so many things that needed to be shown to him. He just hoped that Aito would give him the chance that he needed to talk to him about this.

He wanted to make sure Aito knew the truth and he wanted to show Aito that he was the only one that he loved. All that was left to do was wait for the young Japanese man to show up.

To say the young Japanese man was ready for this year to end was an understatement. The last attack from his lover's ex had left him weakened, though it had also helped him hone his skill in Occlumency, which his family also had. He had learned to shut off all emotion and will it back again, a challenge for the overly bubbly and loving man. However, if it meant keeping yet another attack from damn near killing him, he would do it without complaint.

His fingers still felt numb from the shards of glass that had punctured his nerves of his wrist, and as he saw the letter folded neatly on his bed, he had trouble picking it up with his free left hand. This coaxed a sigh of frustration from his lips. He hoped the feeling would come back soon. Finally, he set his books down and read the note. Why did the phrase "We need to talk", always strike such fear into a man's heart? There was not normally something good coming from that statement.

Aito gathered himself up and headed down from the Ravenclaw Tower, weaving through people until he pushed open the door of the castle and squinted against the light of the sun. The smile that had been so far absent from his lips finally made its way back. Blessed sunlight. The world was so much easier to tolerate when it was awash in the warm glow of the sun. It was so beautiful in the daylight.

As he moved through the grounds, left hand hanging without moving at his side, he felt as if the very rays of the sun were pushing out the last fragments of darkness from what had overcome his heart and his mind, and when his dark eyes fell on the frame of his older lover, his heart gave the long missed flutter that had been absent during the last few weeks while Matthias had posioned his mind. With a radiant smile fixated on his lips, he neared Xayden with a soft clearing of his throat. "You wanted to see me, Aisuru?" Even that word had scarcely been spoken, signs that he was certainly feeling better.

The younger man took the seat near Xayden and gazed over at him, unable to stifle the smile that twitched on the corners of his lips. But, then that phrase crept back into his memory, "Is this about the whole...thing?"

Dark blue eyes moved up to gaze up at the beautiful black orbs that belonged to the younger male the second he heard the small clearing of his throat. A weak smile made it's way across his face before his eyes fell to Aito's left hand, the smile falling off of his face almost immediately as he saw it hanging limply by his side. Guilt flashed through his eyes before they averted from Aito's form to glance at the ground, his dark hair falling into his eyes and hiding them away from the other male's soft gaze as he sat down next to Xayden.

" Yes. I wanted to see you. There's some things that we need to talk about." The guilt in his heart worsened slightly when he heard that familiar nickname leave his beloved's lips. This had been all his fault. He had been the reason why Aito had been targeted, had gotten hurt in the first place. How could he smile at him as if none of that had happened? A sigh left his lips before his gaze left the ground and meeting Aito's yet again.

" Yes. This is about what happened with Matthias Aito. I want to tell you about my relationship with that boy. I saw how badly he decieved you, how badly he hurt you when he convinced you that I still loved him. I don't want you to ever have to feel that way again. In order for that to happen, I need to tell you everything. From start to finish. So please listen to me love." He did not look comfortable and it was obvious that this was something that he would rather not talk about, but his gaze was determined and it was obvious that he was willing to place his own comfort aside in order to protect Aito.

" I met Matthias during my third year here at Hogwarts. He was a shy little thing that had one of the sweetest smiles that I had ever seen. It wasn't love at first sight, far from it. I just wanted nothing more than to be close to him so I went out of my way to watch him. To be his friend. I wanted to see him smile for me."

He smiled weakly at him, his eyes lowering to the ground again as he paused for a moment.

" I so badly wanted to be near him. I wanted to have him smile at me the way that he seemed to smile at everyone else. I wanted to have him as a friend, so I took to always trying to be near him whenever I could. I would watch over him and protect him from danger just so that he would notice me. "

Back in that day, there was nothing that he wouldn't have done in order to have Matthias' attention on him.

" I should've known from the very beginning that he didn't care for me the way that I did him. But Matthias was a very good actor and I was a stupid little boy that was completely struck by the love bug. He made me fall in love with him, then he made me chase after him. He seduced me without even having to touch me. Drew me in, then rejected me until all I wanted, until all I could see was him. He was a drug and he made sure that I was addicted to him. Cunning little fox that he is, he made sure that I was wrapped around his finger before he agreed to be my boyfriend."

He could tell by his expression that this was going to be a difficult thing to talk about for him. Aito did as he was told and listened closely, watching his gestures as he began his story. So, he had done absolutely anything to get the Fin's attention when they were younger? Most love struck teens did. It was not something that was uncommon. But, the way he was led on and manipulated was something that pained him to hear. However, it was no surprise that he had enjoyed the chase.

Xayden had stopped talking, and Aito gazed calmly at him, speaking softly, "Go on, love. I am listenening to every word you say." Anything he felt the urge to say could be said at the very end, no point in really interjecting.

" Matthias had me wrapped completely around his finger. There was nothing back then that I wouldn't have done in order to keep him protected and happy. I loved him with every single bit of my heart and he did a very good job convincing me that he loved me as well. He was my adorable and innocent little Mattie and he could do absolutely no wrong. It was so strange to me, how he could get my will to bend with just a single little look from those big blue eyes of his. How he could get my heart racing with just a single smile. It was a pleasant feeling that I just didn't want to end. It all seemed like things were going well and at that time I had myself convinced that I was going to end up marrying Matthias and had our summer break before the beginning of our sixth year not come along I probably would still be with him right now. "

His eyes darkened slightly and he fell quiet for a moment before continuing on with his story.

" Matthias told me before the year was over that he was going to return to Finland and go explore the home that his parents had last been seen in before they disappeared. He was determined and while I tried to talk him out of going, he would not listen to me. He begged me to go with him. Begged me for days, weeks even. My answer was always a no because I did not want to go to a house that two aurors had disappeared from. Matthias got angry with me and refused to speak with me for the rest of the year, even when we were on the train back to London, he just ran off without saying so much as a goodbye to me. That didn't bother me, Mattie had a history of getting upset whenever I did tell him no. I expected him to write back to me during the summer with an apology just like normal. A few weeks passed and I hadn't seen so much as a sign of his owl, so I got worried and sent my own owl with a letter asking if he was okay and my owl never came back. I didn't see or hear a word from him until it was time for us to go back to school and I ran into him on the train."

This was where Xayden paused again. His eyes grew dark with barely hidden pain and his hand gripped down tightly on the material of his school robe. " He looked completely different Aito. He looked as though all of the life had been sucked completely out of him. His skin was as pale and as cold as the skin that you see on people who are dead. His eyes looked like he was on some sort of drug, they were glazed over and dull and the look in them was just so dark and evil. He looked as though he had starved himself over the entire break and his hair was falling out. I have never seen someone change so drastically. I thought that he was dying Aito. It scared me. I tried so hard to try and get him to tell me what happened to him and he refused to tell me. I couldn't help him."

That was the one thing that had killed him the most about the whole ordeal.

" He changed too Aito. He wasn't the Mattie that I knew anymore. He was possessive and angry. He was always upset over things that I did or said, and it seemed like I couldn't make him smile any more no matter how hard I tried. I wanted to help him, I wanted to try and save him so badly but he wouldn't let me. Finally it got too painful for me to be around, so right before winter break I broke up with him. He took it well, or at least I thought he did and so I thought that all was well between us. When the time came for us to go home, I returned to Plymouth. What I didn't know was that Matthias had followed me the entire way home. He actually stood outside of my home and waited for me to be alone at our manor. Then he broke into my house and attacked me. He broke my wand so I couldn't defend myself and threw me into the glass cabinet that we had kept in our family room. Then he casted the Cruciatus curse on me until I fell unconscious from the pain. Edward told me that he had come back home to grab something that he had forgotten and had come just in time to stop him from using the killing curse on me."

His eyes grew dull with the memory and he glanced at Aito. " It was weird Aito. I can remember very clearly that Matthias was laughing hysterically when he was casting that curse. I don't think that I could ever forget that laughter. Yet for the longest time, I could have sworn that I saw him crying as well as if he really didn't want to hurt me. It was that hope, that small chance that there was something out there that was controlling him, forcing him to do what he did to me that made me forgive him. I wanted to save him and bring the Mattie that I knew back. Unfortunately, that didn't end up happening. Matthias avoided me like the plague for the rest of the year, only speaking to me when he was forced to. I watched him waste away even more Aito. I watched him as he got sicker and sicker and didn't do a thing about it because I was scarred from my accident and was to afraid to approach him. I think it was that that caused him to hate me in the end. I was alive, happy and healthy while he was alive and slowly wasting away."

His eyes closed again and another sigh left his lips. His eyes fell to the floor and he looked even more pained, almost as though he wanted to cry. " Which leads up to this year. This was the year that he decided that he wants me dead. He attacked me once at the beginning of the year and again he broke my wand so that I could not protect myself. Had Arsenic Lockeheart not stepped in, I probably would have died that day just a few feet from where we are sitting right now. It was during that battle that he told both Arsenic and I that the Matthias that I knew was nothing more than an act. Matthias used me for sex and amusement, and nothing more. My emotions and my love for him meant nothing. It was after Arsenic defeated him that he then attacked Artemis Demetriou in an attempt to kill him and rile up his sister. He was going to tell her that I sent him to kill Artemis and he was going to try and convince her to kill me. He probably would've succeeded if there had not been a bunch of Ravens and his girlfriend there to save him. The most recent attempts, you were there for love. He wants me to suffer and then he wants me to die."

Xayden's eyes moved down to his hand and this time he gently took Aito's uninjured hand in his own, looking him straight in his eyes. " Despite these attempts on my life and despite everything that he has done to me, he was able to convince you that I was in love with him still. You getting hurt and you feeling that sort of pain was because of my reluctance to bring these horrible memories up. I was selfish and because of this, you got hurt. Aito Thresh, I swear to you on my name, on my life and soul that I am no longer in love with Matthias Ojanpera. Nor have I been in love with him for a very long time." He turned away from him, reaching into a bag that Xayden had brought with him, pulling out three pieces of paper and handing them to Aito. They were letters that had been written to Xayden by Matthias in the past. " I found these at the end of last year. They gave me hope that the Matthias I knew was still in there somewhere, that there was just something that had tormented him and was causing him to act strange. I know now, that he simply wrote those in an attempt to prevent me from attacking him. There is nothing for me to save. The person that I loved never existed in the first place. Those were my most treasured possesions becuase they gave me the belief that there was still hope for him."

He smiled weakly at Aito, taking the letters back from him when he was done before ripping them up directly in front of him. " Aito. These letters mean nothing to me. Matthias means nothing to me. I want you to know that I only have eyes for you. I only love you. Nothing can and will ever change that. I am completely yours to do with as you please. You are my world. You are my angel. You are my everything. I love you more than life. Please don't let Matthias, who does not know the meaning of that beautiful word, ever convince you otherwise."

He trailed off after that, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to his forehead before glancing down again. " I know I just shared a lot of information with you. Is there any questions I can answer for you love?"

All of this was certainly a lot to take in, but he was doing a decent job of it so far. It hurt him to think of how someone could have destroyed his heart to such an extent...for fun. Just because he could. No one deserved that sort of cruelty.

The letters, he tried to read, and at first there was a glimmer of hope that perhaps the Fin did love him and it wasn't just a game, only for that glimmer to darken. How did he stand it? Was that why he was so plauged? His poor angel.

When he tore up the letters and proclaimed his love, Aito's head lowered to his shoulder for just a moment, before he looped both arms around him and held him as tightly and as close as he could manage. "I understand what you're saying, I know how it is to be so wrapped up in someone that nothing else matters. I know." This was the first physical contact they had had in so long that his heart felt like it might burst.

"Xayden...I love you. Just you. Your mind, body, and soul. It's not a power game, it's not just sex, you aren't a pawn to me. I adore you as purely as I can. You're everything to me. Hearing about how he played with you, blinded you to his nature, made you hurt like he did...it hurts me. I am not upset that you loved him, I am upset of the falsehoods your love was greeted with."

He pressed a kiss to the Burman's soft hair. Admittedly, he almost wanted to know what had plagued the Fin, but it sounded like a demon. That was entirely too creepy. "Just...bear with me, because I want you to know how he got inside my head. I need you to know what I heard and what I saw and even though I didn't want to believe it, I didn't have a choice. I had to. He influenced my thoughts and manipulated my feelings and drove me to do things I never would have done." His left hand lifted and he brushed the hair back from Xayden's face with still numbed fingers, unmoving from their position as he gazed at him.

"I never wanted to avoid you. But he had been pushing me for weeks. He showed me memories and manipulations of how happy you had been, how eager you were to be with him, how you wanted him, cried out for him, how much you adored him. I knew it was in the past, but for weeks he barraged me with poisonous thoughts. How I was never going to be enough for you. That you would always desire to have him. And images of you loving him...they were made to look recent. I hid in the astronomy tower, just waiting for my mind to break. He wanted me to die like you wouldn't believe. I never...ever...wanted to hurt you. I truly do love you with all of everything I have."

He watched through careful eyes as he shared the information about his relationship with Matthias, watching to see how his beloved angel would react to this information. He did not want to make him upset in any way, but he knew that this was something that the two of them could no longer avoid if they wanted to have a healthy relationship. He watched as Aito read over the letters that Xayden had given to him, watched for any sign that he could be hurting him by showing him this. He saw that there was a hopeful light in Aito's eyes that immediately darkened after reading those letters and for a moment he panicked.

Those letters had at one point in time, been his most valued possession. He had kept them close to his heart hoping that one day he could bring the Matthias that he had believed written those letters back to to the world. After their duel in which Arsenic had saved his life, he had kept them as a reminder not to be foolish and to never let another human being have as much power and control over him and his heart as Matthias had once had.

Then he had met Aito and all precautions had flown out the window as the gentle male had ensnared his heart just as quickly as Matthias had, something that had initially scared the older male as he courted him. Yet, unlike with Matthias there were no games. Aito seemed to be just as enamored with Xayden as he was with him and quickly welcomed him into both his arms and heart in a way that had both confused and stunned the older male, who had never had such a relationship before. All of his previous relationships had been about chasing after the person that had captured his interest.

He had never had someone return his affections so openly right from the beginning before.

Immediately after the ripping of his letters, he felt a head rest softly on his shoulder and tired blue eyes looked down at Aito. A small gasp left his lips as two arms were wrapped around him and he was held tightly, closely to Aito. It had been so long since they had last had physical contact and Xayden's body was rigid, taking a moment to get reused to Aito's embrace before relaxing in his arms. Aito spoke of knowing what he had gone through, knowing what he meant when he said that Matthias had truly been his world in the past. " After what happened with Matthias...I swore to myself that I would not fall in love again. All of my relationships after Mattie were not serious, they were ones that were doomed to fail from the very beginning. I think that doing that to myself hurt even more. In my heart, I wanted a family, I wanted to marry someone and settle down but at the same time, I did not want to give someone the power that Matthias once had over me. You are seriously my first committed relationship since I was with Matthias."

The admission was embarrassing enough that Xayden buried his face in Aito's shoulder to avoid his gaze. It was embarrassing just how vulnerable sharing this information was making him feel. He loved this boy so much, even more than he had ever loved Matthias. Aito had him completely entranced, and captivated with all that he was.

He could easily make Xayden the happiest man in the world and yet at the same time he could also completely destroy Xayden if that was what he wanted.

That was the thing that scared him more than anything about their relationship. He had become so dependent on Aito that he couldn't even be without him for a few weeks without feeling his heart begin to break. It was that sort of dependency that made the normally independent Xayden extremely nervous and yet as he heard the gentle tone that Aito spoke to him with, as he enjoyed the warmth of his lover's embrace for the first time in weeks, he began to feel that tense nervousness slowly fade away.

He slowly lifted his face from Aito's shoulder, staring at him as he spoke the words that he needed to hear. Aito told him that he loved him and only him. He told him that this was not a game to him, that their relationship was more than just sex. He meant just as much to Aito, as the younger Japanese boy meant to him and he could both see it in the expression on his face and hear it in the tone that laced his words that what Matthias had done to Xayden caused him pain.

His arms moved from lying at his sides and wrapped around the younger boy to hold him as a kiss was pressed to his hair. He heard Aito murmur something to him about listening to him as he explained his absence over the last few weeks, along with what Matthias had done to him. He listened in silence as Aito went into great detail about the mental torment that he had been subjected to under Matthias' control. Matthias had him believing things that were absolute lies. Manipulated his thoughts and controlled his feelings and forced him to do things that he normally would have never done.

He had turned Aito into something little more than a living puppet.

He was growing angrier and angrier as more information about what Matthias had made him suffer through was given to him. His body grew tense and began to tremble with the barely restrained anger. His eyes were blazing with a cold fury and his jaw was clenched. His anger was so great that even the gentle caress of Aito's hand wasn't enough to completely quench his anger, only forcing it to grow as his eyes recognized it to be the hand that Matthias had injured.

" If he knows what is good for him. He will stay locked away in the walls of Azkaban for the rest of his life. If he ever leaves those walls, I will find and kill him myself."

He was absolutely furious. There was nothing more that he wanted in that moment then to find Matthias and hurt him just as badly as he had hurt both him and Aito. " When I think of all the times in the past that I could've killed him, but hesitated for one reason or another I become disgusted with myself. You've been hurt and almost killed because I was too weak to put an end to him Aito. Your pain, your injuries and the fact that Matthias is after you are all my fault. If it wasn't for me you'd be safe and happy. You deserve so much better than me. I promise that he will never touch you again Aito. I'm going to find a way to stop all of this. Aito, I swear to you that I will end this in any way that I can. I will keep you safe and protect you from him, even if I need to give up my life in order to do so."

"The last thing I want is for you to get hurt, Xayden. If I get hurt, I know I can heal. If you get hurt, I'm beside myself hoping that you aren't going to be taken from me." There was a gentle urging in his voice, an attempt to prove himself. "And really...without you, I would just be another slowly crumbling schoolboy. Before you came, I had nothing worth living for and slcertainly nothing worth dying for. You gave me strength, you gave me hope, you gave me love when no one else could even see the void in my heart. You took the time to fill it. You breathed life into what once was a shell of a man and turned me into something real."

Aito kept his eyes locked on Xayden's eyes for a long, unblinking moment. "I love you." He gently slid his arms around him and tilted his head softly into the soft curve of his neck. "If not for you, I may not be hurt, but I would not be anything more than a shell of a man. I don't want that. I would rather be hurt and chased to the ends of the earth and back for loving you, than spend one moment safe without knowing your name. I'd rather I never feel from this hand again, than go one second without hearing you say my name. I would rather die to love you as you do deserve, than to have never tasted your kiss. Nothing my life has is more precious to me than you."

He could slowly feel the anger drain out of his body as he listened to the words that left Aito's mouth. The gentle tone that he used in an attempt to reason with the Burman seemed to calm him as the negative emotions that were clouding his blue eyes began to gradually fade away. His hand raised to gently cup the soft skin of his cheek and he leaned forward to press his forehead against Aito's as his eyes slid closed. He took a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself down even further, repeating the process for a few moments until he felt that he was calm enough to hold a rational conversation with the younger boy before pulling away from him completely, his blue eyes opening again to stare into Aito's black ones. " Aito. I don't like seeing you hurt when I know that there is something that I could have done to prevent it. How you feel about me getting hurt, I feel the same about you."

His hand moved back up to the skin on his cheek, his thumb gently running over the soft flesh. " Aito, you are the best thing that could have ever happened to me. You took my broken heart into your hands and mended it without asking for anything in return. You taught me that love didn't have to hurt and you gave me a reason to live. You are my best friend, my lover and my angel. You saved me."

When their eyes met again and Aito told Xayden that he loved him, his body shifted closer to Aito's and he gently gripped his uninjured hand, gently tugging his body into his arms so that he could hold him. " I love you too Aito. More than anything. You changed my life for the better and I will never be able to repay you for all that you have done for me, all that you have given me. " He felt Aito's arms wrap around him as his head tilted so that it rested against the skin on his neck and his grip got slightly tighter.

" Aito, you've become the most meaningful thing in my life. Before you, I thought that I had truly ruined my chances at love. I thought that no one would ever see me as anything more then just a school idol. Then you came along and proved me wrong. I'm so happy that we met. I'm happy that I talked to you and that I fell in love with you. You are the best thing that could've ever happened to me, that's why I want to make sure that you're safe from him. I want us to have a long and happy life together. I want to raise a family with you. I don't want something to happen to you before we have that chance. I don't want you to be taken away from me because I know that you are my soulmate. Now that I've had a taste of what true love is like, I don't think I'll be able. I won't be able to live in this world without you Aito. "

He couldn't stand it anymore. His head lifted and he drew Xayden to him and gave him a deep and passionate kiss. Lips fell in time and harmonized, as his one good hand rushed up and caught his hair. As much as he had missed Xayden was always realized when lost in his arms. It would be a few long moments before he would slip back from his lover's lips and gaze into his eyes. "Nothing could keep me from you, if I had to fight off the entire world. We will have that family, you will be safe, I'll be safe, our children will be safe."

That was something he would fight to guarantee. The safety of their family. He kissed him again, giving the softest sigh as his heart fluttered happily in his chest. "You will see. I won't let you down." As for the Fin, be had better stay locked up in Azkaban because he would feel some pure wrath if he didn't. There was no doubt in that.

He drew in for another taste of his kiss, breathing out a soft, "I missed you so much. Being apart like that was agony. It was almost like I couldn't see you if you were near me. I wanted nothing more than to just hold you and kiss you and show you how much I love you like I always do." He frowned slightly before nuzzling Xayden's neck softly. "But, I did properly learn to become an Occulmens. I hate dropping my emotions, but its a necessary skill."

A few moments of silence passed as they simply held each other. The passing students gave passing glances, some uttering soft proclamations of adoration to their friends, but he didn't care. He was focused on listening to that strong heart beat from Xayden's shoulder. Each beat was driven, beautiful, and he had never enjoyed another sound more than that pulse. "I could listen to the beating of your heart forever. Every day until the day it stops. Because after yours stops, mine would."

The kiss that they shared was just as magical as it had always been between them, gentle sparks shot down his spine as he returned the kiss he was given just as deeply and with just as much passion that Aito was giving him. The familiar sparks of electricity ran down his spine and his eyes slid closed as his handw moved up to gently cup Aito's face. He could feel his heart beat in pure joy, the sadness and pain that had burdened it only moments before disappearing almost instantly, forgotten in the joy of the moment as they shared that loving kiss.

Merlin he had missed Aito more than he had realized.

It would take a few long moments before Aito would end the beautiful kiss, those beautiful eyes gazing deep into Xayden's own and ensaring both Xayden's mind and heart with just that single gentle gaze. Merlin, he loved Aito more and more with every single glance, every single smile. He loved every thing about the younger male and as he spoke to Xayden, promising that nothing would keep him away from the Burman, along with swearing to him that they would all be safe in the future, he found himself believing every single word that he was told. " You won't be alone. I'd fight off the entire world every single day in my life if it meant that I could keep holding and kissing you. If it meant that I could see you and our family safe, happy and alive there's not a thing that I wouldn't do."

He was brought into another kiss, this one only lasting for a short while before Aito pulled away with a gentle sigh that caused Xayden to genuinely smile as a small chuckle left his throat. It had been the first time that he had both smiled and laughed in weeks and he found that it felt good to be happy again. " Love you're almost too cute." His eyes shone merrily as he saw that happy expression on Aito's face. His smile grew softer and his eyes grew warmer at his next statement before he leaned down to press a kiss to the tip of his nose. " I know that you won't love. I trust you."

He swore that he was just as addicted to Xayden's kisses as he was to Aito's for it was only a moment later when he found himself drawn into yet another kiss. His heart beat rapidly at the words that Aito breathed out and in that moment he swore that his heart would leap out of his chest. " I missed you as well Aito. When I can't see you, when I am seperated from you for more than a couple of hours I feel like something is missing. It is only when I am with you that I feel as though I am whole. You are truly my other half, you are a large part of my heart and soul. During those few weeks, I wanted to see you more than anything. I wanted you in my arms and I wanted to hear your voice Being apart from you for that long nearly destroyed me. I never want that to happen again..."

He rested his cheek on top of Aito's head as he felt Aito's face nuzzle his neck. He listened calmly to him as he spoke about the skill that he had learned and he couldn't help but smile. " I've heard that it is difficult to learn how to do that. You truly are amazing Aito." The words were followed with a press of his lips to the top of his head. " I'm sure that it is hard to do someone like you to learn how to drop your emotions. You are such a sweet, caring and happy person, but that just makes it all that more impressive. I'm proud of you love."

Those were the last words that were spoken for a few moments as the two lovers sat there in silence, holding each other and just enjoying each other's company. He could see and hear the students as they walked past the two of them, some staring and some choosing to whisper their feelings on the pair as they watched the young couple. Despite this, Xayden found himself more interested in Aito, choosing instead to ignore the students in favor of nuzzeling and pressing gentle kisses to the object of his affection's face.

" I'll be sure to keep my heart beating as long as I possibly can for you then, my beloved angel. "

Aito curled into Xayden gently, scrunching his tall frame in the bench so that his head remained on his chest and his legs were bent and up on the wood. He curled inward and draped his arms carefully over his own chest, cradling the injured hand gingerly. Every now and again, the severed nerves would fire and shock his hand horribly, but, he didn't show that he noticed. Xayden was certainly his sun, and it was pushing away all of those negative feelings and any pain he could feel. No, the whole world was in his smile.

The younger male breathed deep and let everyone else flow from his consciousness. The only one that mattered was the man whose chest he rested on. "I hope your heart keeps on beating, love, I don't know if I'd be able to face the world alone." He looked up at Xayden's gaze and quietly held that stare for a moment or two, contemplating the truth to that statement.

Xayden gave him something to fight for, something to believe in, and without him he knew that the world would simply swallow him up. He would do whatever he could to join him if he left, and that thought scared him to death. He was scared to lose him. "Can I be honest with you? I was initially scared to death to fall in love with you. Not because it was you...but my mind just kept saying, 'What if he leaves me? What if I disappointed him? What if he died? How in the hell would I go on?' But, somewhere in that smile of yours...I stopped being so scared."

Seeing Xayden in pain was the worst sort of pain he'd ever endured thusfar, and he didn't eant to ever see him hurt. "You know, it's strange, but...every time I get hurt, trying to protect you...it doesn't hurt as bad as seeing you in pain. That's what really hurts me. I'll always protect you, and I know you will always protect me. Together, I firmly believe that there isn't anything we can't do."

There was something that was genuinely special about the moments like this that the two boys shared with one another. As Aito curled up against him, Xayden found himself smiling down softly at his beautiful younger lover. He truly was one of the most amazing men that he had ever met in his life and he continued to affect Xayden in ways that he would have never thought possible. Every smile seemed to light up his world just a little bit more. Every time that Aito touched him, he could feel his heart race faster and faster the longer the contact lasted. Every kiss seemed to take his breath away, always making him forget how to breathe momentarily as their lips moved together in perfect harmony.

Merlin, he truly was in love with his fiancé in every single possible way. In the short time they had been together, Aito had managed to become the very center of his world and Xayden honestly couldn't be any happier.

" You'll never be alone Aito. The very moment that you told me that you loved me, I gave you both my heart and soul. I will always be with you here." A warm hand gently lay against Aito's chest, pressing gently against his heart. " Even if I'm not here with you physically, even if I have long since left this world a part of me will always be with you. Our love is something that nothing, not even death itself, can ever hope to destroy. I am yours, forever. No matter what."

He knew that his words were a bit cliche, but he loved Aito and was more than willing to share his true thoughts and feelings with him. He truly believed with all of his heart that theirs was a love that would last through the strains of time. Their love was something so strong and so pure that Xayden was positive that nothing could ever tear them apart.

When Aito spoke to him about once being afraid of falling in love with him, he couldn't help but smile. " Honestly? I was scared to love you too. You were just so sweet and gentle that I was worried that I would somehow end up hurting you. I was scared that I wouldn't be enough for you and that you would grow bored with me and leave. Then there was the whole thing with Matthias. I thought you'd leave me when you found out just how serious this situation was. You didn't. You took it all in stride and bore with it. You stood by my side and continued to love me. Some way and somehow, I began to realize that your feelings were just as true as mine were, that's what helped me. You became another, much healthier addiction of mine Aito and this is one that I never want to be rid of." His head gently nuzzled the skin on Aito's neck, breathing in the younger male's scent for a moment before pressing a gentle kiss to the skin.

" I agree with you Aito. You are my partner and my better half. We are a team and it is together that we are at our absolute best. Together, you and I will always be able to conquer anything that comes at us."
