"Dad tell me again why we are moving? I'm starting at the Salem Instatute this year. Won't that mess this up with my education?" Thomas asked one night during dinner. It was the middle of summer and Thomas had just gotten his school list for wizarding school a month ago. "I've already told you son. I'm being transfered to a new department and i'm sure it wont mess up your schooling we'll have to get you transfered to that school they have over there." Richerd said getting up from the table taking his empty plate with him. Rolling his eyes Thomas took a rib bone off his plate and held it under the table. "Are you sure dad? You said that the last time and that was just when I went to normal middle school."
None to sneaklly Chester moved under the table to get at the bone Thomas was holding banging into the legs and making the whole table move. "Oh come on Chester get out from under there. Thomas you know better then to feed him at the table." Said his mother Lily with a displeased expretion on her face as she rescued her glass of tea from spilling on to the table cloth. "Sorry mom. May I be excussed from the table i'm done with my plate?" Lily looked at Thomas's plate eyeing the barely touched veggi medly on the side of the plate and narrowing her eyes. "I guess so but next time you finish all your veggies before you leave the table got it kido?" Thomas nods as he gets up from the table while in the back of his mind he thought *You'll have better luck with teaching Chester how to slowdance then getting me to eat those mom.*
As Thomas and Chester leave the dinning room Richerd sits back down at the table shaking his head as he watches Thomas head out the back door into the backyard. "What are we going to do with that boy?" Asked Lily as she sat back down to finish the rest of her meal. "I have no clue dear. Just let him be for now just be thankful that the full moon isn't up yet. We have a few more days still to go." Lily nods as she jabs at a peice of califlower.
Out in the back yard the air felt cool and dry much more comfortable then it had been earlier that day. The summer day was slowly coming to a close as Thomas picked up one of Chesters favoret tennis balls and threw it watching as his oversized compainion happily chased after it. As the daylight slowly faded into twilight Thomas continued to throw the ball for Chester.
The backyard light suddenly was flicked on bathing the backyard in floresant light as the back door opened and Thomas's father head peeked around the doorframe. "You ready to come in Tom? You have to get some sleep if we are going to make it to that baseball game tomorrow." With a smile Thomas put down the ball and headed for the door. "Ok dad coming. Come on Chester time for bed." Walking back into the house Thomas headed for his room to change into his pjs with Chester following him all the way.
