[Thomas Dover]

"Why is this taking so long?" Thomas said quietly to himself as he scratched out another sentince in the letter he had been writing. For the last several hours he had sat at a corner table in the Ravenclaw commen room quietly writing a letter home to his parents and brother. There was so many things that he wanted to tell them that it was hard for him to think of where to begin which ment that the peice of parchment that he was writing on had so many things crossed off and rewriten that is looked like a scrolled mess. Looking up from his letter Thomas let his eyes wonder around the room watching the numeruse other Ravenclaws laughing and talking to each other in the slowly fading light that came in through the windows.

With a unsatisfied grunt Thomas crumpled up the parchment throwing it at a trash bene and pulled out another parchment to start over. "What are you doing over here Tom?" Asked Trever as he sat down next to Thomas trying to look over his shoulder to see what he was doing. "Oh hey Trev oh it's nothing rreally. Just trying to write a letter home there's so many things I want to tell them." Trever nods pulling out his wand and twiddling it in his fingers for no apparent reason. "That's cool I didn't know you had a brother. Do you need any help with it?"

Thomas shoke his head as he finished a sentince in his letter and started folding it up. "Naw I'm ok I think I got it but I could use your help finding the owlery." He said standing up from the table sticking the letter into his pocket. With a smile Trever stood up as well. "Sure I could do that I have a letter myself that needs to be sent off. Just give me a second to grab it and we can head out." With a nod Thomas watched Trever as he hurried up the dormatory stairs to grab his own letter. A minute later Trever came back down and the both of them headed out of the commen room and towards the owlery.

"So hey Tom tell me about your brother. How old is he?" Trever asked as they made their way quietly through the empty halls. "Well there's not much to tell. His name is Leo and he is about 5 years old." Thomas said as they passed by a sixth year Hufflpuff heading in the opposet direction. Trever nods as they continue "Really? Do you have any other brothers or sisters? Are they anything like you? I mean a wizard by the way." Thomas shakes his head as they take a short cut bypassing a hallway where they had seen Peves earlier setting up a pratical joke in a suite of armor for some unexpecting students. "Nope no other brothers or sisters just him. I'm not sure like I said he is only 5 years old. What about you Trev any brothers or sisters?" Trever nods as they make it to the bottom of the owlery tower. "Yep I got a older brother his name is David. He graduated already and now works at the Ministry as a Auror."

"Wow thats cool. Um whats a Auror?" Thomas asks as they wind their way up the stairs. "A Auror is a dark wizard hunter Tom. How do you not know that?" Thomas stops halfway up the stairs and looks at Trever blinking. "Dude Trev MuggleBorn thats how." Trever stops and smacks his forhead. "Crap sorry Tom I forgot." Thomas shakes his head and smiles. "It's ok man it happens."

The young heiress to the Demetriou name made her way through the castle with her usual cold and aloof expression plastered on her face as always. Whispers from the other students filled the air behind her, speaking of rumors that they had heard about the female only to be shut up the moment that those icy blue eyes narrowed on them in an icy glare that could have frozen over even the hot depths of hell if that had been her intention. Luna Demetriou was not the sort of girl that enjoyed silly gosip and talks about men or other such silly things. She preferred peace and quiet, enjoyed gaining knowledge from her classes and the various books that she chose to read in her spare time and because of this there were not many that were able to worm their way into her icy heart. Very little about her was known by anyone that was not her brother and that was the way that she planned to keep it until the very end.

On this day in particular, the young woman was found making her way up to the owlery with two letters clutched tightly in her grasp. Both letters were addressed to her adopted parents, one from Artemis and one from her. Her letter was strictly business, asking her adopted parents to send her some of the newest reading material from their library while her brother's was more personal, giving both Annabelle and Adonis a general update on their lives. Artemis had always been the more sensitive out of the two twins and had somehow managed to convince himself that their adopted parents actually cared about their school lives, or perhaps he merely went through the effort because he believed it to be the right thing for him to do. Whatever the cause, she supposed that it wasn't any of her concern. Her brother was an adult and could make his own decisions.

As she climbed up the stairs, she almost ran into two small children who had stopped right in the middle of the stairs. They both appeared to be first years and were in her house, something that caused her initial icy glare to soften into a blank, even stare. Despite her irritation, Luna was not the sort of person that would go out of her way to pick on a seemingly defenseless first year. As she went to go around them, she heard one of the boys ask the other one what an auror was, before stating that he was a muggleborn to his incredious friend. Before she could stop herself, her cold voice filled the air, offering a slight explanation to the first year. " An Auror is a officer that is trained by the ministry in order to investigate and then capture dark wizards and witches before sending them to Azkaban." It was with those words that she continued on her way up, quietly disappearing into the owlery without any further words.

At the sound of a cold voice both boys jumped nither of them expecting there to be someone behind them at that time in the evening. Both of them stood there blinking as the girl walked passed them disappearing into the owlery. "Um.... Trever who was that?" Thomas asked turning his head to look at Trever who simply shakes his head and shrugs. "I don't know Tom but she looked to be in our house eather a sixth or seventh year by the looks of it." Nodding Thomas continues up the stairs while Trever stays firmly planted in one spot. Stoping Thomas looks back at him "Are you coming Trev?"

Looking back at him Trever shakes his head "On second thought I think I'll wait to send off my letter. I almost forgot that I need to finish that report for Muggle studies go ahead and send yours Tom and I'll wait up for you in the commen room." Without another word Trever turns and heads back down the stairs somehow tripping on the last step stubbing his toe and send up a list of swear words as he disappears back towards Ravenclaw tower. Raising a eyebrow Thomas turns and continues up the stairs. "Ok that was a little weird I wonder what that was about." Thomas said to himself as he walked into the owlery.

Walking into the room the the floor under Thomas's feet made a crunching sound and pulling out his wand he waved it saying "Lumos" and looked down. The floor was covered in small bits of bone and owl pelets from all the school owls that were roosting there. Looking around Thomas spotted the girl that had passed him earlier on the stairs and walked towards her pulling his letter from his pocket at the same time. Walking up to a brown school owl Thomas gently prodded it awake. "Hi I just want to say thank you for explaining what a Auror is. My friend didn't do a very good job of doing that. Could you take this to Liverpool to the Dover residents thanks." This last part was to the brown owl who clicked his beck grumply at him before taking the letter and flying off.

Cold blue eyes glanced down at the barn owl that she had been gifted with during her most recent summer break, quietly observing the bird in order to ensure that he was in a fit condition to fly to her parent's home in Greece. The beautiful barn owl looked up at his owner with soft eyes, cooing softly to his owner before she relented and handed both of the letters in her hand to the owl. " I need you to take these to my parent's home in Greece. You do know where it is that you're meant to be going, do you not?" She received a small coo in conformation and couldn't help but smirk in response. " Very wel then. I shall put my trust in you so please not fail me." It was with that request that the owl flew off with the letters clutched securely in it's talon and a small barely noticable smile crossed her lips. Luna had become truly fond of that owl despite the short time that the two had had together. Owls were loyal and hard working, qualities that the young woman admired in every single living creature, human or not.

She found that the small moment of solitude that she had was quickly interupted by someone, a small crunching noise that came when the shoe of a distracted student met one of the numerous bones on the floor. Slowly, her gaze moved from the sky to glance at the new comer out of the corner of her eye, wanting to ensure that the new person wasn't some sort of threat or annoyance to her [ though it was hard for one not to be an annoyance to her, as the already long list was growing rapidly with the names of her classmates.]. When she saw that it was one of the boys that had stopped on the middle of the staircase, a single brow rose for a moment as the boy appeared to be alone, before falling back to it's normal blank expression. She had probably scared the second first year off, something that wasn't new to her.

The boy began to walk towards her, something that caused the cold female's body to tense, especially when the boy began to speak to her, thanking her for her information on what an auror was. Apparently, his friend had not been doing a very good job at the explanation which was something that surprised the female slightly. Even if it was a stereotype, it was true that only some of the smartest and most eccentric of people were allowed into the house of the Raven.

" Hn, there is no need to be thanking me, it is my job as an upperclassman to provide assistance to my younger housemates. I merely answered a question, nothing more and nothing less. "

The smile that had been on Thomas's face faltered slightly at her response but it quickly went away as he gently stroked the feathers of a big barn owl next to him which cooed softly at his touch. "I still would like to thank you none the less. My friend must have wanted to give me the short simple version. My name is Thomas by the way." He said sticking out his hand in what he thought was a apropret friendly jester. Thomas's mother had taught him since he was little that when you introduse yourself to always offer a hand to show that you mean no harm. She had also taught him to respect his elders even if the elder was a teenager because you never know who they might be.

"I do hope I'm not bothering you. I sometimes have a habit of showing up at the wrong time and in the middle of things. I was just sending a letter to my parents and little brother they were hopeing to hear from me and find out how my schooling was going." He said as in the back of his mind hopeing that he wasn't being to much of a chatter box. It always seems to never fail that when he meets someone new he just starts rattling off. This has happened to him several times before like when he was in elementary school when the teacher would come in at the start of class it would turn into story time for Thomas as he would start going into this big old tale of what he had done during the weekend.

At that moment a chill ran straight up his spine causing Thomas to shiver visibly and his skin started to feel tight and itchy again. Had it been that long since his last potion Thomas thought hoping that this girl had not noticed as he glanced out of the corner of his eye out the window seeing that the moon had started to wax.

A single brow rose as she listened to the words of her underclassman. His friend had wished to give him a shorter explanation than the one that she had given him, one that was merely a single sentence long? Then again she supposed that she truly should not have been all that surprised. Sloth was a negative trait that was found in all human beings from time to time, one that was found even in the members of her beloved house as hard as it was for her to admit. She could only hope that the trait would not affect the aforementioned first year far too much in the future, for he would have a very difficult time finding help if he did. Her gaze moved from the wall back to glancing at this strange newcomer as he continued to stand by her, attempting to make conversation despite her previous icy words.

Why was he still here when most others his age would have either avoided her, or would have long since run away?What was it that he wanted from her?

She studied him with a calm gaze as he stroked the feathers of a large barn owl that had placed itself next to him. The boy seemed to be kind, if his treatment of the school owl was anything for her to go by. Perhaps she could allow her guard to slip just a small bit for it wasn't as though he could truly do anything to her, the one that played as a beater on the Ravenclaw team for multiple years, and the one that had sent the winner of the Triwizard Tournament Xayden Andrews, to the Hospital Wing almost weekly when he attempted to bully both her and her twin. She had proven time and time again that she was more than capable of protecting the both of them when she needed to, and yet that strength did not come without a price, one that caused her to almost always be on guard.

When the other offered her his hand as a gesture of good will the young woman took it into her own after a small moment's hesitation, shaking it once before releasing it from her hand's grasp. " You are welcome then, Thomas. As for my name, I am Luna Demetriou." It seemed as though her acceptance of the friendly gesture was enough to make the young boy feel more comfortable around her, as he immediately began to speak again. He told her that he hoped that he was not bothering her and that he had the habit of showing up at the worst of times, when others were in the middle of doing other things. He also told her that he was in the process of sending an owl home to his parents and little brother, who were hoping to hear how his schooling was doing.

All was quiet for a moment before the young woman spoke again. " No you were not interrupting me. I was merely sending my owl to deliver some letters from my twin and I back to our parents in Greece." She was quiet again before speaking, this time asking the boy a question. " How do you like it here at Hogwarts so far?"

After learning that he was not bothering her and hearing that she herself was sending letters to her own family a smile seemed to spread across his face again. Inwardly Thomas breathed a sigh of relife Luna had not noticed his small disturbance. Following a short moment of silence Luna asked him a question wondering how he liked it here at Hogwarts.

"It's very nice to meet you Luna. I think this place is great. I've never really been to a school like this before it's so much more differant then the schools back in the United States. Back there kids don't usualy stay at the school all year."Thomas said while jesturing around him indicating the school itself. "I tell you the teachers oh sorry I mean the professors here are all interesting and helpful. I never really expected there to be so many witches and wizards. So far potions has been my favoret class thus far and I'm really hopeing that here soon I can start making my own potions so I don't have to keep waiting for mine to show up." At this moment Thomas falls silent he just realized what he had just said. He was just about to spill the beans about having to take the wolfsbane potion that helped him from turning into a werewolf.

Absent mindedly he shuffles his feet looking around the room trying to think of something else to talk about. It then hits him earlier that day he had walked past the trophy cabinet and had noticed several old trophies with the word Quiddich on them. Stoping his figiting Thomas looked at Luna. Hey I heard from someone that our house has a Quiddich team. Is this like some kind of a sport for wizards? Like baseball or basketball is for muggles? If so I'd like to try it out I like sports."

Luna listened to the younger male as he spoke so excitedly about the school that he had just begun to experience and in that moment, the young Demetriou heiress had a hard time fighting off the smile that threatened to cross her lips. She could recall in the past, just how excited she herself had been as a first year student [though she had managed to hide her emotions well, even as a young child] " It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Thomas. I have to say that I am relieved to hear that things are going so well for you here. There are students that have developed a fondness for messing with those who are smaller than they are and while the presence of a prefect or a professor is enough to usually make them leave the younger students alone, they can be relentless." While she hoped that this boy would have no problems with bullies, she always felt the need to warn others when need be. This boy seemed kind and people like this liked to bully the kind hearted because of the misconception that kind people were weak.

Just like her Artemis.

Her attention was drawn back to the other as he began speaking again and again she almost smiled at his words. " No need to correct yourself. Honestly I could not care less what you call them in front of me." When he spoke about all of the professors being interesting and helpful, she couldn't help but sigh ruefully as the image of a certain Transfiguration professor came to mind. Oh how she despised that creature to its very core. " You have not had Transfiguration with Dombrovski yet...have you? A word of advice, never slack off in his class and try not to attract his attention if you can help it, and whatever you do, do not anger him. I've heard from very reliable sources of mine that the man is actually a vampire. They are dangerous even at the best of times, so do be careful. As for witches and wizards, we are only a very small part of the whole population. There are secret communities in every country and there are three other wizarding schools that I know of. It is a shame that you were not here last year for it was the year Triwizard Tournament, which is a competition between us and the two other wizarding schools in Europe. One champion is chosen from each school and they face each other in these series of tasks to basically prove which is the best school. Our champion, Xayden Andrews won it last year."

Merlin she really was talking a lot today! She could not remember the last time she had spoken to a person that wasn't Artemis for so long!

When the other spoke of potions being his favorite class, along with sharing the hope that he would be able to brew his own potions soon so that he would no longer have to wait for his, her brow rose. What on earth would he need to brew his own potions for? " You need to brew your own potions? Is it for a health thing? If you ever need any help, do not be afraid to ask me. I'm no potions master like Professor Satoshi, but it is one of my strongest subjects here at school. " She hoped that that would be enough to ease some of the sudden tension that had built up.

When the other spoke of Quidditch, a smile finally crossed her lips for a small moment before falling away. " Yes, our house does have a Quidditch team. I am actually on it, this has been my fourth year as a member and while I have no idea what baseball and basketball are, Quidditch is a sport that is played only by witches and wizards. As for try outs, they should be happening as soon as we find out who they have chosen as the Ravenclaw captain this year. It will be posted in the Ravenclaw common room along with the needed positions for the team, so just be patient."

Thomas's eyes seemed to grow wide with excitment as Luna talked. She expressed pleasure at hearing that he was deffanetly enjoying his experiance at the school. "I tell you what if those students that like you said like to pick on smaller kids do it to me they are not going to like the peice of my mind that will rain down upon them. I hate bullies." He said subconisly smacking his fist into the palm of his hand causing his knuckles to pop. Luna spoke again asking if he had yet taken transfiguration in which he simply shoke his head in responce. She continued by explaining that the Proffessor was a vampier which came as a shock to Thomas as he had never seen one before although he had read about them from some of the muggle Sci-fi books he use to read.

"I will try to keep that in mind when I get to his class. The last thing I want is a vampier breathing down my neck figrativly and quite liturary."Luna then went on to talk about there being other schools like this one and that there had been a tournament called the Triwizard Tournament where they competed against each other. "Wow that sounds like it would have been cool to see. If only I had come a year earlier but thats what you get for just turning 11 on halloween hahaha." Thomas laught a little as he said this. The conversation then came back around to the subject of potions where he had barely let slip that he need to use a potion for his lycan problem which thankfully that part of it had not come out. His smile faded slightly as he replyed.

"You could say that but it's not that big of a deal I have a slight chemical imbalance and it helps keep me straight. Thank you for offering I will if I need to." Thomas smiled again at Luna's offer of help as in the back of his mind hopeing that she would not have to deal with that dangourse side of him. "Ok I was just curious about Quiddich seeing how thats another new thing for me. Thats cool that you are on the team I bet you have some real skill. I guess I will just have to be patient for the tryouts." He said glad to be off the subject of his potion. Thomas chuckled softly at hearing she did not know what basketball or baseball was. At that moment the school chimes rang out in the distance indicating that it was curfew time and that all students should return to their house commen rooms.

Hearing them Thomas looked at Luna "I guess that means we should get back to Ravenclaw tower now. Hey I have a idea if you can explain more about what Quiddich is I will try to the best of my knowledge explain what baseball is. Deal?"

Had she been less in control over her emotions than she currently was, she probably would have smiled again at the rather amusing antics of the younger male as he threw a closed fist into the open palm of his fist to symbolize what he would do to a person if they should ever attempt to bully him. It was nice to see that someone showed her own distaste for ones who dared pick on others and while she had no doubt in her mind that he would be able to handle himself if need be, she made a mental note to keep an eye on the boy whenever she had the time to do so. It was rare that she came across people who were kind at such a young age, if she could do something in order to ensure that that kindness remained in the boy's heart even if it was only for a small while, then she would be sure to do it.

It would not take much effort on her part in order to keep bullies away from him." I am not too fond of bullies myself, though I find that either a good punch in the face or a nice hex will more often than not take care of them." One of the biggest mistakes that one could ever make when it came to the girl was underestimating her. She was both very strong and clever, something that became a very useful combination when it came to her taking care of the ones that angered her. She might have been a girl, but she was more than capable of protecting both herself and the people that she held dear from anything that may endanger their lives, at least, that was what her pride would have her believe.

" Yes, that is wise. I also suggest that you avoid ever being alone with him if you can help it. While I doubt he would do anything that would put him in the Headmistress's bad graces, I trust him about as far as I would be able to throw him." The topic then shifted to the Triwizard Tournament and she nodded slightly at the information that was given to her. " I am sorry to hear that, though all is not lost. The tournament happens once every five years, so you will be able to see it for yourself in your sixth year." He would not be able to compete in it for he would only be sixteen, but at least he would be able to watch the tournament unfurl. Perhaps he would even get to see Hogwarts win the Tournament again.

When the boy spoke again about the potion that he needed, she simply nodded. " Very well, I will hold you to that." Quidditch came up again and she couldn't help but chuckle quietly in amusement. " It takes more strength and good aim than it does skill in order to do what it is that I do on the team. I am the Ravenclaw beater, which means that I am responsible for using these hexed balls called Bludgers and my beater's bat to stun our rivals and prevent them from scoring on us. Yes, be patient. It will be rewarding in the end if you are, I assure you." Though she said this, she herself was a bit anxious. She wanted to know who would be replacing Xayden as the Ravenclaw captain, for it would be the captain who would determine how this year's season would go.

Merlin how she hoped that it would be someone tolerable.

It was at that moment that the bell rang, signalling curfew for all of the students. Thomas spoke again, saying that they should return to the tower before striking a deal with her. If she explained what Quidditch was to him, then he would explain to her what baseball was. " You've got yourself a deal Thomas."

With Luna's response a big smile spread across Thomas's face. "Good now lets get back. I don't want to get in trouble for being out after curfew. I'd hate to think what detention is like for breaking curfew." He said as he turned and started heading out of the owlery. As Thomas got to the door he stopped and turned back around "Oh hey you mentioned that the Ravenclaw team was waiting for a new captain. Who was it last year? I don't think you said who it was. I may not know them but I'm just curious." He asked looking back at Luna as he fought a sudden urge to scratch himself.

*Why now of all the times must I get this way?* Thomas thought to himself as he waited for Luna's reply. This was one of the things about his condition that he did not like and made him the most uncomfortable. The itchyness of his skin and that it felt as if his skin was at least three sizes to small for him. It was at these moments that he wished he had his wolfsbane potion on him with which he would have a supply in his handy bronze flask that was stowed away in his school trunk which at this point was empty now. At times he had thought of keeping his flask on him so he could take some to ease the effects of the coming of his change. But if for instance he had to take some in the middle of class he was certen that people would notice and questions would come in abundence like, What are you doing? Or why do you have a flask? Or what are you drinking? and so on and so forth.

At any rate Thomas hoped by the time the moon got full a new batch of wolfsbane potion will be ready. With what he had saw earlier he did not have much time before then and hopefully Professor Takumi knew that as well.

"I agree, Let us get going now. I have never had detention before and I do not intend to start having it now." Especially when she knew that she would be more than likely forced into serving it with the current bane of her existence, Nikolai Dombrovski. It was immediately after the words left her lips that she turned and began heading towards the door, stopping when he turned to ask her another question, again about quidditch. A smirk almost crossed her lips when she was asked about the identity of the previous year's captain.

" You may not know him personally, for he already graduated but I am sure that you will be hearing a lot about him from the older students, he made quite a name for himself while he was here and he was very well liked by many both in and outside of our house. The previous captain served for two years as the leader of our team and he was none other than the very person who won Hogwarts the Tri Wizard Tournament. His name was Xayden Andrews and honestly, he was probably the best captain that our team has ever had. He probably would have won us the Quidditch cup this season if he had not graduated."

The words tasted bitter in her mouth as she was still not used to complementing that insufferable men in public, but even she would not deny that the older man had been talented both as a quidditch player and as a captain. She herself had been very surprised when he had told her that he had no plans to play professionally after graduation, something that she had always expected him to do.

Her attention was drawn from thoughts of her formal rival when her gaze fell onto the younger boy again. He seemed uncomfortable for some reason, almost as though he was in some sort of pain for one reason or another. " Are you feeling alright? You seem like you are in some sort of pain....perhaps you should take a visit to madame pomfrey instead of going to the common room...surely she might be able to help in some way?"

"Oh whoa thats cool a captain and a Tri Wizard champion I think I saw his name somewere. It was probably on one of the trophys in the trophy cabinet." Thomas said with supries as a look of growing interest on his face. Who would of thought the former captain of the Ravenclaw team was also the winner of the Tri wizard cup. Making up his mind Thomas promised himself that if ever this Xayden guy ever came back to Hogwarts he would try to meet him maybe get a chance to talk with him. Partly turning Thomas heard Luna asking if he was alright and wondering if a trip to madame pomfreys could help him releave some of his pain.

*Oh no she noticed this is just great.* He thought to himself as a half smile crossed his lips. "You know I don't think it would be nesessary I just have a really bad itch and I'm trying not to scratch it in front of you. It's not in a very dignafied place." He said hopeing that this would help ease Luna's consurne when in fact Thomas could really do with a dose of his potion to help ease his stress. Also Thomas didn't quite know if madame pomfrey knew about his condition and would have a small supply of his potion hidden away somewhere.

Thomas's best bet would be to go to the potions master for what he needed but Thomas didn't feel all that comfortable yet with revealing his other side to Luna just yet. He had just met her and he wasn't yet sure at how she would react with knowing that this small boy was a dangerous animal. As Thomas started walking again he tryed making a small joke about it chuckling lightly as he said it. "If only I know a spell that I could do in my head this wouldn't be a problem."

She could see the interest and curiosity that the younger boy was beginning to form just at the mere mention of Xayden Andrews, something that honestly did not surprise her. Xayden may have been an arrogant jerk towards her and her brother but the fact was that he had accomplished some very impressive things during his years at the school and he had been a very popular boy that was well liked by most. The fact that a young male would find him interesting was to be expected, so Luna decided to try and help Thomas sate his growing curiosity.

" I cannot say that I am surprised to hear that, I am sure that he has a few awards lying there in the case somewhere. Oh and if you ever want to know anything about Xayden, you could ask Aito Thresh in our house. The two of them are engaged to be married and I know that Aito knows him better than anyone else, I am sure he would be willing to answer whatever questions that you may have as long as they are not too personal."

All fell quiet for a moment before the boy spoke up again, this time telling her that a trip to the mediwitch would not be needed as he only had a small itch that apparently was not in an appropriate place for him to scratch in her presence. A single brow rose as she looked at him for a moment before she turned away, seemingly accepting his answer for the moment. In reality she was not convinced in the slightest, however she would not force the other into telling her something that he was not ready for her to know as it was not in her nature to be nosey.

When the other spoke again, she listened carefully to his words. She could understand his frustration all too well, for she herself had felt it when she was younger and unable to cast the spells that she had felt she needed. Time had cured that impatience, something that she was more than happy to admit for she did not know just what she might have done if she had held access to the spells that she knew now at such an early age.

" Be patient, time will grant you the knowledge and the proper skill to handle that knowledge if you are willing to wait and work for it. Be wise and commit yourself to your studies and there will be nothing that you will not learn."

Thomas's eyes widen with suprize as he chuckles at Luna's responce. "I was just joking but are you telling me that there is a spell like that? Oh I've got to take a look at this." Thomas said as he continued to smile and chuckle moving down the stairs. If what Luna was saying was true eventually he could cast spells without saying a word. He was now more then ever more interested in studying and working hard it may take him some time but he could acheive it.

Once out of the owlery the pair of them continued through the halls quietly at the moment. Thomas's head was buzzing with thoughts now there were so many that he could not focus one for more then a second. So excited was he that he almost forgot about the practical joke that Peves had set up in one of the suits of armor in the hall way they had just turned down. Stopping Thomas raised up his hand hopeing to warn Luna of the trap. "Whoa wait a minute I think we should find another way through here. I saw Peves in here earlier today I have a feeling he was up to something." As much as Thomas liked jokes he didn't want Luna to fall prey to one of Peves' jokes. Thomas had heard about Peves the poltrigist from several other students in Ravenclaw house the first night he had gotten to Hogworts. They had told him that a lot of Peves' jokes weren't that funny mainly down right mean.
