When Bella woke up this morning, she was not anticipating the presence of the Grey Lady within the dungeon and wound up waking with a start. "Ah! Helena! Gracious...what are you doing here?" "Darling, need I remind you of what today is?" At first, Bella fell back against her bed and let her eyes drift close again, "It's Saturday." The ghost floated to her bedside, "And?" "And I have no potion lesson." "And...?" A huff from the mound of blankets, "I was up all night working on a project, I am not sure what you're getting at." "It's your anniversary." "My anniversary?"
The ghost waited, it wouldn't take long for her to rememb-
"BLOODY MERLIN! Did I remember to finish that thing?!" In a flash, the petite blonde had hurtled out of her bed and was pulling on her robe as she ran down to the common room to check on the project that she'd been working on. Folded into a thick piece of cloth was a glass picture frame with blue roses pressed neatly between them and an inset photo of the two of them captured mid kiss. Something that held reminiscences of the earlier times that they were together. Blue roses, she had encased one in crystal as the very first gift she had ever given him.
A smile danced over her lips as she ran back up to shower, change and prepare to surprise him. Because the day was special, she opted for a blue dress and shoes before styling her hair in the favored platinum curls and applying just enough makeup to enhance the natural beauty that he loved so much. It was getting to be the time that the Great Hall opened for breakfast and normally they would meet on the ground floor and go to breakfast together on the weekend.
That would stay the same.
She slid the picture into her clutch along with a couple of other things that she'd gotten for him, untangled the chain of his locket about her neck, and soon slid out of the portrait hole. Apparently, the Grey Lady had gone off while she was rushing about. She only hoped that Artemis remembered the date as well. As she climbed up the stairs of the dungeon to the ground floor, she felt an odd mix of excitement and love within her stomach.
This was something entirely new to her.
