Blue eyes darted to and fro as Haru tried to move beyond the paralyzing spell and the physical binding rope state kept him completely pinned to the chair he was bound to, to no avail. Haru whimpered softly, a sound disappearing into the sky. How had he gotten here?
It started, as most predicaments in his life did. With Kazuki.
"I don't want to see you anymore, Kazuki. Not for blood, for love, nor sex. Nothing. I can't...
-I can't
-I can't tolerate the pain, or the tears, the way you kill my soul. I can't. I will always love you, but I cannot do this any longer."
Kaziki's pleading fell of deaf ears. No proclamations of love or apology were heard as Haru turned and left, proud that he had managed to be so undeniably strong. But, it was false security. Silence did not last. It was four days time after he had told him, five days time since the fateful day that Kazuki left him alone in the street.
However, tonight was the worst.
He had ventured out to his shop and when he moved to enter the building, the sight that horrified him more than anything greeted him. All of his plants and flowers were hacked and slashed to bits. Petals, leaves, stems, and even roots were strewn all over the floor in a most unceremonious fashion and he felt his chest tighten dangerously. He felt the tears forming and falling, the sobs tearing his chest apart, the sheer agony of his heart...the most sobering feeling.
At least until the blow on the back of the head with something very heavy made the world go dark.
He woke here, behind his shop, his hair matted with sticky vampiric blood, and a sizeable gash on his skin, with Kazuki spewing the most vile and hated words he could think of. Haru gazed at him with shock. Until he said, "You began here, you'll die here. See that skyline? The sun rises just there. Tell me how you love the warmth, Haru!"
Haru was gagged tightly, his teeth slowly shredding at the fabric. He gazed up at the clock tower to read an early 2:30 and whimpered again. He was going to kill him. Haru was going to die for trying to save himself. He felt what little bit of love he still clung to with Kazuki's name break away and die like the rest of it had.
And again, he'd left him here.
Again.
Quietly, he shut his eyes and sighed. Perhaps this would be better than being forced to endure anything more. Damn his heart. The night was cold, slow, and no one would likely seek him here. He could hear the heartbreaking sound of people just continuing sound of people walking away from him and past the shop.
Splendid.
