Matthew is friendly enough, but he keeps to himself and can be a little anxious when it comes to meeting new people for obvious reasons. He doesn't like to be stared at like he's an attraction at some sideshow, but sometimes that just cannot be helped. He's experienced such things his entire life and has grown, somewhat, accustomed to such reactions when he is seen. But that's not saying it still doesn't bother him. He enjoys helping others and strives very hard to do his best in all the subjects he learns in school and in his spare time he likes to photograph places, people and things. A rather thick scrap book of some of his more favourited photographs are kept in the nighstand by his bed. When he feels a little lower then normal, he'll take it out and flip through the pages to find inspiration of some sort and push on.

He excels in potions and charms but could not transfigure a stone into a marble if his life depended on it. He isn't very good at flying and thusly only participates in Quidditch by watching and cheering on his house in the games. Matthew's desire to help and care for others shines through a little here because even if he's enjoying the game, he will flinch whenever a bludger makes contact and feels a need to run onto the field to assist the school nurse. There are a few times where he will pop into the hospital wing and ask questions and practice a few healing charms, he'll assist with some of the students who are less likely to die if he messes up, but since he has adopted a cat into his care, this happens a little less then it used to. His cat, Flawless, is pretty much untouchable and can do what he pleases infront of Matthew without being scolded- unless it's laying on his homework and demanding attention, then Matthew shows his irritation. Which is something rarely done.

However, when he is irritated or things begin to fall apart before him, his frustration builds and will cause him to start snapping at people and becoming defensive quite quickly. As nice as he is, he can be a live wire when nothing is going right in his eyes. Apologies do follow after he's had time to cool off, and his loyalties never waver even if he is mad.

Everyone needs friends, so... with Matthew, a good friend could be someone he would want to protect or vice versa. Chances are the friendship would be a lot better if a person could treat him no different then other kids his age and not gawk at his rather large and obvious birthmark. Someone from any house or status would do well. He wants to be a healer, so even healers in the school or outside as he tries to make connections? A tutor in Transfiguration would be a good way to gain friendship too.

LOOOOVVVVEEEE!!! I have really no idea here. Um, Matthew is currently single as you can tell. I don't think he'd be terribly picky about a lover, but he'd be hesitant to aquire a love. Not to say he doesn't want one, he's just has doubts about relationships considering all the ones he has seen have been all about physical attraction and appearance based. Yea... ANYWHO, anyone can have crushes on him and vice versa, um, again any house and any blood status is fine with this muggleborn.

OH! this one could be so easy but so hard at the same time. Possible enemies would clearly be people who pick on him or poke fun because of his 'spots' or what have you. He's a muggleborn and a hufflepuff. What else can I say really? It's not that hard to be his enemy/rival. Could also be someone who is just a mean arse to everyone in general, add another mark to the staff, right? A notch in the wand XD So yea, this is WIDE open for all. Can't have fun without the added necessary drama can we? (lets just keep drama volumes to a respectable level LOL)

Anael and Matthew are quite different from each other, but I think that she would know him regardless since they are in the same year. She's very social and doesn't care about house or anything like that. I don't know if she would be too much for him to handle as a friend but she would try. And she is like a bodyguard as a friend. Anyone makes fun of him for his birthmark or anything else, she'll do anything short of violence to shut them up. And no violence only because by then she would know his apparent aversion to it.

Hello friendly Matthew! When it comes to meeting new people Stuart keeps to himself as well. He hardly ever talks, but, makes a very great listener. Since he's an older house year that does pretty good in school, I think Matthew might have a bit of a stalking problem because of Stuart. It's really him trying to get up the courage to ask for help! He's struggling in about half of his core subjects: Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. It's mainly because he doesn't speak, but, he does eventually get the spells. He just needs to be "pushed" to do it.

Though, Stuart is pretty great at flying and is in fact probably going to try out for the quidditch team. But, he'd need help keeping up his charms grade. He's one of the youngest fourth years due to his birthday being right before the deadline (he was a preemie, so he was born early). He's small framed, has a tiny voice, and someone like Matthew can definatly help him with school work. He'd give Matthew chocolate or something...

He has a ferret. You cannot deny his ferret. Though, he'd probably more likely write in a journal and hand it to Matthew, so he'd know what Stuart wants to say. Just don't let your cat kill his ferret. He loves his ferret.

That would be awesome! Matthew would be more then happy to help Stuart out in any subject needed. He's not very well in transfiguration, but because he needs it to become a healer, he's pushing extremely hard on it. Maybe they could help one another out figure things and set them straight.

As for the ferret, Flawless is pretty mellow around other critters. He won't even hunt mice, so he's pretty useless when it comes to attack and kill. I'm sure the ferret could kick Flawless into place lol. I'd really enjoy seeing these two together in future rps

I think the two could be a good match for a friendship Mattie's a little shy for obvious reasons, but I do believe that a friendship would slide in nicely. Anything beyond that is open to (but that applies to anyone really XD )

dylan taylor
Him and Lucy are twins, much to most students surprises. Lucy is quite, and keeps to herself. She's studious and keeps up with all of her classes. Dylan on the other hand not so much. He's not the most driven to do his work for classes and doesn't care much if people disapprove. He's smart really, when he applies himself which is very little. Unless you are talking about jokes and that sort of stuff, in the case of trouble you can bet Dylan applies himself. He jokes around but is generally really harsh about it, he's also super confident to the point where it gets a bit annoying. He's a extremely loyal person and cares about his family.

Um I could see him and Mat not liking each other very much at first. Cause I have no doubt that Dylan would tease him, just because of his general shyness not even about other things. I could see him having a sort of friendship with Mat eventually though. I mean Mat could really help Dylan get over sort of his general vanity that he has about himself.

lucy whitt
Lucy keeps to herself in most situations. She doesn't take advantage of her parents fame unlike her brother who does on a number of occasions. When people ask her for autographs from her father, etc. Lucy has this tendency to immediately turn around and walk away as fast as humanly possible. She's a pretty big mystery to most people as she tends to stay away from most people and sit in the library. That being said, she won't stand by while someone gets picked on. Even with her brother, Lucy will march right up to him and have no problem yelling at him. She's a active student, when she isn't in class, she's off at practice or somewhere keeping herself busy. Lucy also seems to have a natural charm to her that she's not fully aware of.

I could see her really liking Mat. She wouldn't be someone to judge him by how he looks because well she cares very little. Lucy has always found mind over matter to be the more important thing and believes that the person that someone is, molds them into being a beautiful person. They can have a pretty face, but if they have no substance she finds very little interest in them. She isn't super shy per say but she likes to keep to herself, I could see her reaching out to him though simply because she would want to.

kat quinn
Kat is sarcastic but it is just to the point where people often think she's rude. Not that she minds. She's not big into idiotic people and if she thinks you are, you can bet Kat will let you know. She hangs out with Sebastic, Sera and Dylan alot so I guess she sort of fits into a Gryffindor cliche quite well. Also a big tomboy, she likes most sports magical or muggle and is fairly competitive. She likes to win. Her humor like Sebastian can come off harsh and condescending. Surprisingly, Kat doesn't hate socializing. Actually she likes to talk to people.

If you want, I know they talked in ICC before so she could always give teaching him how to fly and all a whirl! She'd be glad to do it.

gwynth jones
Gwyn is the school healer. She's one of the younger professors if you consider her that but she is still far more professional than alot of them. Gwyn is mature for her age and maybe that is why she fits in with the other professors so much. Setting people to high standers can often leave her disappointed though. She's eloquent and very well spoken. A bit sarcastic at times but that's just her personality.

Obviously she could teach Mat about healing, she would be more than glad to! I think she would see alot of herself when she was in school, in him and would want to help him and even become a bit attached to him, even if she would try to deny it for as long as possible because she tries not to be very attached to her students but if it happened, it happened. She'd love seeing a student with a passion for healing.

**So I have Dylan Taylor, Lucy Whitt, Gwynth Jones, Jude Taylor and Kat Quinn as of the moment. Grant is a new character I am working on. If you have any ideas for ones that I didn't list, let me know. All their names in color are clickable to their profiles.

NU! I never forgot about you! I was working XD sorry, I still love you <3 Hmmm for the plots, I can't say that I would make any changes currently. I really like those ideas a lot. For all matches *nods* it's not set in stone neither, so if something should progress or change, we'll handle it then/pm about epicness

I personally believe a thread with Mat and Kat would be amusing, especially with the whole "I REALLY CAN'T FLY" panic attack he'd have in mid-flight XD

The whole healer match up there is a really sweet idea, he needs his connections and would bond quickly to someone in the field he wants to be in.

As for Dylan, he's the first offer of a dislike situation! Of course this is acceptable! XD he needs enemies/frienemies/turned friends over time thing. Complication is good ^_^

I have a mixed bag for you.

First off is Cernenus whose sister you may your eye on. We can play that one by ear obviously depending on how your thread goes but it would be logical Matt would try to at least make a connection here as an in with his sister.

I don't think Vincent would pick him out for his mark because, let's be honest, he would find that far too easy and common. So likely he ignores him, but Matt has seen him watching him get picked on a few times without lifting a finger either way. So mild enemies with some potential conflict there if we can think of a reason. It will grow much more personal if he finds out Matt is interested in Keela.

Mukhtar my african student is in Matt's house and I can see him asking questions about his mark out of curiosity never having seen a birthmark on a westerner before. There will be no judgment from him based on the physical and once he understands what the mark is, Matt will notice Muk's eyes never linger over it again. The flying thing tho, hmm, Muk does have a flying carpet so I can see him wondering if Matt might do better out in his neck of the woods.

Apologies for not getting back to you on this sooner. Been on holiday in TX and I gotta run fast lol. I really like all the suggestions in your bag. All are logical, and this one suggestion with Muk i'm finding really interesting. The relationship in that, built out of that curiosity would be really interesting to see. Especially to see how Matthew would react to that kind of honest, pure curiousity. I'd really enjoy seeing how those two would interact in that.
