Welcome, kiddos, to Ancient Runes...
Hello, I'm your new professor Calista Rue, but you may call me Miss Ivy. Actually, I would prefer that you call me Miss Ivy. Questions about why I go by that name and about my style of dress are all welcomed during the first day of class to get it out of your system, because afterwards, we will be focused heavily on the subject at hand....
Ancient Runes.
I hear some of you less academic children groaning, and I don't blame you. More classes? Gee willickers, Batman! Weren't seven enough already? Well, tough. Some of you have this class required, and some of you, just some of you, want to learn something ancient, magical, and powerful. Just about any wizard can wave a wand and call themselves great, but very few can read magic runes that are left as curses upon this world or discover spells and charms long since lost, or even cast runes yourself!
Also, I don't take lightly to being blown off. If you're late, I'll make you my personal lackey for the duration of the class, which includes being my personal coffee table and tea stirrer. Disrupt my class to where I don't like it, and I may just turn you into a wooden table complete with coffee stains.
Okay, with that being said, this class with be sorted by age and skill. 2nd-4th years will occupy one class group and 5th-7th years will occupy the other. If a student is failing, needs further help on the topic of ancient runes, or is studying for O.W.L. or N.E.W.T. level exams they will also take a remedial class where they will receive one on one and personal attention.
Please be sure to sign up with your name, year, and standing grade in the subject (second years can omit the last criteria by default).
