The New Divination Classroom

As a new teacher familiar with recruiting and doing basic studies in all subjects for Beauxbatons, Olivia always had a soft spot in her heart for Divination and such, was very interested in the job. Getting accepted to a new place was exciting until she first walked into the North Tower and saw what had been left behind. Dark, dreary, and tedious, it was a stereotypical divination place which she absolutely loathed.

It simply wouldn't do.

Now remodeled with some carefully placed items of her own, Olivia feels much better about the space. Having had to do future reading in many places and times she knows that while the setting might help a classroom, she certainly thinks people should learn to do it anywhere, period. Thus, her rooms are airy, light filled, and structured with specifics, not vague things to look at and nebulous smells in the air. She has, however, included a small tent in the corner (with a magically larger interior) for those students who can not deal with the newer surroundings.

The Tent Interior

The chairs look stiff, but have cushioning charms, their metal frames keeping a stiff seat for most people, a proper way to prevent slouching in her book. Candles for meditations and cups for tea reading are kept away in a cabinet, although there are always votive holders scattered about the rooms. There are chairs, stools, and pillows located around the room for students to choose from as they wish, since she never discriminates against tastes. A small staircase leads up to her office and quarters, a locked metal gate between it and the classroom.

The New Divination Office and Quarters

The office itself is minimalist (mostly due to the very cramped quarters she found the previous tenants had to deal with) with a heavily blue tile theme and a few shelves. The furniture is simple, but very comfortable and Olivia simply wands whatever she needs from hiding places around the space. She likes having paperwork carefully out of sight and items for the classroom are stored in a closet and careful kept locked away to be brought out only when planned use in on her mind. Her student records are a filing cabinet which comes out of the wall at a non-verbal command from her with wand out and stretches out ten feet minimum when used. If she has any special students to work with, she usually brings them here for special lessons because of it's quietness and few distractions.

The Office

The Living room, tho small, shows Olivia's interest in African inspired architecture such as the Moroccan styles. Just like her office it is tiled, with many different colors meant to give it a pretty effect. Cushions are preferred over furniture itself since so many wizard and witches can conjure a handy chair when needed. The entrance is through a hidden door in her office which leads up three steps to this level.

The Living Room

THe room was kept white on purpose to add to the simplicity feeling of the room. A large mirror (which shows no reflections till tapped with her wand -- a small security she feels better about but won't explain) hangs above the bed head and the mosquito netting expands to capture and kill the bugs which penetrate to this room rather then just keeping them away from occupants.

The Bedroom

Fortunately wizarding expanded spaces are not hard to come by in a castle like Hogwarts. This room was expanded for one purpose; the bath, a small luxury Olivia loves in particular. Too many times she was in lands and situation where she couldn't take the time to have a bath or find that much water without feeling guilty about the waste. Now here she can enjoy a long soaking bath in privacy, a worthy relief at the end of a day of dealing with certain students.
