A Distraction [Open!]

It was a warm Saturday afternoon when a young girl about the age of sixteen decided to stop doing her weekend homework for the day and finally get changed out of her pajamas. She gathered up all her papers and books and neatly placed then into her school bag, which was sitting on the floor next to a chair, that held her school robes neatly laid out for Monday. She had hoped that today could be full of something exciting, since nothing exciting has surfaced during the week, making it rather dull. She smiled lightly, then changed out of her pajamas, and into a multi-colored tank top, short black shorts, and a pair of low top black chuck taylors. She did her makeup lightly, bushed her hair, then grabbed her sunglasses and walked out of her dorm.

As she walked into the common room, there were very little students lingering about doing their own homework. Her guess was the rest were outside enjoying the warm weather while it was still here. She walked out of the common room and made her way to the great hall to grab something to eat on the go. There was no way she was going to stay indoors today, at least she hoped not. She ate as she walked out of the castle, and around the grounds until she got to the black lake. She finished her food, then slipped off her shoes and walked in until it came up to her ankles, then stretched out. “It‘s such a beautiful day out!” She said mostly to herself, then started out to the lake, placing her hands behind her back.

It was weird she hadn’t seen any of her friends all day, and she walked most of the grounds before she got to where she was now. She didn’t even see Mason today, and he seemed to pop up around her almost all the time. Not by choice, she knew that, they both disliked each other, but acted nice since their fathers were very good friends, but he just had this way of pushing her buttons, without even trying. She shrugged off the thought of that egotistical bastard and smiled once more before lightly kicking her foot back and forth, hoping someone would save her from this boredom.

It had been a beautiful and sunny day much to the young Makoto's amazement. Days like this seemed like they were rare and few at Hogwarts, so the young man had decided to take advantage of the nice weather, and take a walk outdoors. It seemed like many of the other students had felt the same as he did; as there were many students outside.

Some were talking outside in small groups, others had decided to spend the day reading in the sunlight. Some couples were taking walks while holding hands, others were found playing games. Everyone had a purpose, and everyone seemed to be having a good time, which put a smile on the boy's face. Because he was often too timid to ask to partake in the events that others were involved in, Makoto had learned to receive his happiness by mery watching. It was rather odd, and he knew that but he couldn't bring himself to be troubled over it. It brought him happiness, and that was all that mattered.

Makoto was drawn out of his thoughts as his dark eyes landed on the form of a young female standing ankle-deep in the black lake. She was one of the few that was by herself, yet she looked so calm, and peaceful. And happy. For some reason, Makoto felt drawn to her, and made his way over to her quietly, intending to only observe some more. He stood for a few moments just observing the way she stood, and the peaceful aura that radiated from her form. For some reason, a passing urge to speak with the girl took over Makoto. He wanted nothing more then at that moment to have a small conversation with her. Perhaps she could even be a friend to him?

So gathering his courage, Makoto swallowed roughly, and took a few steps forward so that he was closer to the girl. His eyes were closed in nervousness, and his fists were clenched by his sides. Makoto bowed down slightly out of politeness as was tradition, and spoke in a shaky, heavily accented voice:

" I-I'm very sorry for bothering you. But I was wondering if it wouldn't inconvience you. May I prease join you?"

The girl with long flowing wavy black hair, that stood ankle deep in the Black Lake, staring out at the coast, was thinking of her hometown. She was already missing Japan, and her friends that were there. A small frown came to her face when she realized that she wouldn’t be going back for almost a year. Akemi lifted up her wrist to her nose and took in the scent of the Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray, that she had put on before coming down to the Black Lake. The scent made her smile lightly, as it usually does when she was feeling home sick.

As Akemi was sniffing her own wrist, she was unaware someone was behind her, first just watching her, then walking closer to her. She took her wrist away when she heard someone walking close to her, and turned around to see a boy a year older than her bowing to her, then spoke to her. She took a good ook at him as hhe spoke, and he looked to be Japanese. A bright smile came to her face, and she wanted to jump for joy, but she kept her calm. When he was done speaking, she turned her whole body around, making her hair twirling with her, and smiled to him. She bowed back to him, still smiling. “Moshimoshi, It wouldn’t inconvenience me at all, Please join me.” She said, Only having a bit of an accent, then turned back around to stare out at the lake.
