Keela knew she really shouldn't have been where she was. Even though technically she did have rounds in a few hours, it set a bad example for the younger ones for her to be sneaking up here at all hours. Still, she needed to think, she needed privacy. Her thoughts were a jumbled mess of what was and what might be. Why did life always have to be so bloody complicated? She was falling for Vincent, she couldn't deny it anymore, and with that realization came several others. Her brother might never be okay with it, she hadn't been brave enough to tell her parents yet, the list mounted. This was her last year, if she didn't make her mark this time, she wouldn't get another chance. Fashion had given way to comfort in her choice of dress tonight. Well, if you ignored the four inches of heel on the boots that swung from the ledge she was currently settled on.
She was still angry with her brother, still blown away by her first date with Vin. She hadn't known what it meant to feel charged by her own desires until that day. She hadn't known what all the fuss was about, and now that she did, it was like a blind person looking into the sun. She felt blinded by it, overwhelmed, and also nervous. She had little to no experience, and here she was on the verge of falling madly for the first guy she'd gotten the nerve to kiss. She shook her head, thinking she might be just the tiniest bit naive. She glanced up the sky, leaning back to take in as much as she could. It was comforting somehow, that the stars were a constant. No matter what turmoil raged underneath them, they were there, brilliant, burning, and consistent. The sound of footsteps caught her off guard. She reached for her wand, cursing when she realized it was in her bag.
"I swear to Merlin if its some amorous couple looking for an empty room I'm going to deduct points into the negatives." Nevermind that she couldn't technically do so, she'd sure make them wonder if she could. She tried to scramble off the window ledge, almost lost her balance, and thought better of it. Wondering if she might be able to miraculously summon the wand, she sighed. "Who's there?" she demanded of the darkness.
